When jumping into Diablo 2: ResurrectedFor the first time in the Reign of the Warlock DLC, players have a choice of Warlock build options. New Diablo 2: Resurrected the class is very powerful and players have three skill trees to choose from when combining their abilities. For new D2R players, there is one Warlock build that is easy to start in the early game, with the potential to scale to remove the difficulty of Nightmare and Hell as players progress.
Although the Warlock's most unique skill tree includes summoning demons such as Goatmen, Tainted, and Defilers, as well as binding any demon Diablo 2 for use as a minion there are other, more straightforward build options with so many screen clearing skill options. The Warlock's Eldritch Skill Tree focuses on conjuring and manipulating the class's weapons with arcane power, while the Chaos Skill Tree is geared towards more magical skills and AoE spells.
This S-Tier Diablo 2: Resurrected Warlock Build has almost endless DPS potential
Diablo 2: Resurrected's new Warlock class is instantly one of the best in the game, and one build in particular is dominating the meta.
The popular Fire Warlock Diablo 2: Resurrected build is perfect for both newcomers and veterans alike
Fire Warlocks in Diablo 2: Resurrected will largely focus on investing in the Chaos skill tree as it is ripe with powerful fire abilities that provide excellent synergy with each other. Additionally, this Warlock build will want to put some skill points into the Demon skill tree to access the Bind Demon skill while supporting the Warlock with summoned demons they can consume for buffs.
Levitation Mastery can be invested in the Eldritch skill tree if the player wants to improve their ability to wield a two-handed weapon with one hand.

Bind the demon
Ring of Fire is the first main skill that Warlock players will want to invest in, and works as a way to deal AoE damage while pushing enemies back to help protect the Warlock early on. Flame Wave is another skill in the Warlock's Chaos Skill Tree worth investing in as it pushes enemies back with a wall of fire that also helps protect the player. Apocalypse is the ultimate fire skill for a Warlock to add to his kit, and can be a devastating way to clear the screen with a massive flaming pentagram that also lowers enemies' fire resistance.
To access Apocalypse, Diablo 2: Resurrected Warlocks will also need to invest in Sigil: Death, which can be a useful skill in its own right. Enemies caught in this sign will kill enemies with less than 13% health and create an explosion that deals 70-120% of that enemy's health. The Demon Skill Tree is another source of skills for this build with a special focus on unlocking the Bind Demon so players can tame a powerful super unique demon companion. Summon Tainted and Consume are useful because Summoning a summoned Tainted gives the Warlock temporarily increased Fire damage, making it a perfect addition to a Fire Warlock build.
The best demon to bind to build a Fire Warlock from Diablo 2
Like most Diablo 2: Resurrected Warlock builds, Hephasto the Armorer is the best demon in the slot to bind as he can grant the player a Zealot aura as well as a chance to cast Amplify Damage when hit due to his Cursed affix which also affects allies. Unfortunately, Hephasto was not found until Diablo 2: Resurrected Act 4. As such, players can take any Aura Enchanted demon with a Fanaticism or Conviction aura as a solid replacement.
What makes Fire Warlock perfect for beginners in Diablo 2: Resurrected
While fine-tuning Fire Warlock for late game and running on Hell difficulty appeals to experienced players, this build is also ideal for Diablo 2: Resurrected newcomers. Each of the primary Warlock skills used here focuses on dealing damage to a large group of enemies while adding a layer of protection to the player. Early game players concerned about survivability can also lean on the Warlock's Demon Skill Tree for multiple summons to protect them as they progress to the point where they are ready to engage in a more fiery game loop.
