Another month, another round of rumors about Nintendo Direct. This time, in September there are claims of one, some even say that it could be next week. Could it mean a new animal transition? Date of release for Metroid Prime 4? Hollow Knight 3? When rumors spread and people start to wish for a new 3D Mario or look into the future of Zelda, I can't help but think about one game: skates.
Skate comes in an early 16 September approach for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Fans have been expecting it very much for 15 years and it is a free title to bring a whole wave of new players, with Crosssplay and cross -progress.
Although there was no mention that the game was coming to Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2, I can't help, but I feel that the last minute announcement would bring a lot of excitement and attracted a lot of new players with switch 2 who have to wait a few days to download free on the hybrid consoles.
Skate would be perfect for Nintendo Switch 2
In the pre-alpha and timely access, I put it in skate for about 50 hours and I plan to continue playing for a long time. It is a great game that has a great future ahead, and a fantastic community of players that carries it there. I imagine playing primarily a PC game, switching to one console without real reason if I just sat in the same place.
However, the game would be perfect for Nintendo Switch 2. Not only is it tempting to leave your game for free to play progression, items, unlocking and characters between platforms-like you can with Fortnite between the PC and the console, including the Switch 2-but Skate, it offers easy-to-play quarantine.
If you just want to pick up and play the game for a short session, several challenges, or just skating streets when you are in bed, you can do it. If you wanted to gather with friends to create parties and skates around San Vansterdam, you could all sit in the same room and do it just. If you wanted to see how far you can move WiFi limits in flight to shredding with the best buds, you could try do that.
The WiFi plane is terrible, but you have to try.
My friend and I liked to play with skates when we were younger, and while the new game allows you to play with others freely and smoothly in real time, the ability to visit that friend now with my switch 2 and continue the series together with what we have always dreamed of.
If the new skates really try to be more accessible than ever, it brings a huge number of new players, then the use of Nintendo Switch 2 would make sense. Many people already have a switch 2S as a slim set of launch looking for more where you play on them. And even more we'll get closer to the console.
I have the hope that skates get to Switch 2 one day, no matter what, but when in September we hear Nintendo Direct, the upcoming date of the skate is all that I can think of now.
