Should you kill the Shah or Roosevelt?

STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl has a lot of difficult decisions to commit to, many of which will shatter players' minds with indecision. One of these choices players must make happens when completing the King Of The Hill mission in Stalker 2.

Players will be asked to kill two Garbage Zone Kings for Varan during the A Deal With The Devil mission. But the question remains, should they kill the Shah or Roosevelt? Here's what players should consider.

Should players kill Roosevelt in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl?

Killing Roosevelt can prove to be quite complicated as players cannot access the base where he lies hidden unless they launch a frontal attack (like we did). But there is one more option: using Stealth, accessing the back door of the base through the firing range.

If players kill Roosevelt, they will need to pick up his PDA to complete the mission objective and deliver it to Varan. Once they do, the location Roosevelt's stash appears on the map.

Killing Roosevelt has no immediate consequences, only the elimination of a deranged and dangerous bandit who uses the commissioner for his own selfish purposes. And of course: you can get a lot of loot by sweeping the entire base. But if the players come and go unnoticed, only killing the king and his guards, then the rest of the commissar gang won't attack them.

Should players kill Shah in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl?

As with Roosevelt, killing the Shah is not so easy. There is no secret entrance this time, and there are only two ways to do it smoothly. The first lies in the secondary mission No Honor Among Thieves, if players choose to kill the Docent and reveal the location of Shah's first hideout, they will notice that when he brings Shah's Mate to porterhe lets them in.

The bar is exclusive to Brood Bandits, so if players try to enter any other way, they will be attacked. Which brings us to our next option: cut a bloody path to the Shah. If players do it this way, they will have to deal with a lot of bouncers before targeting Shah, who is hidden on the second floor of the Bar.

Once Shah is dead, pick up the PDA from his body and it will reveal the location of another one A hiding place for the Shah, which is northwest of the Brood Bar, on the roof of the Ward base. It has modded UDP and Silencer so might be worth looting.

Killing Shah won't have any immediate plot implications, but after killing him Garbage will be at the mercy of either Roosevelt or Varan, so it's up to the players to decide who to kill. There is still another possibility.

What happens when players kill both Shah and Roosevelt in STALKER 2?

If players choose to clear the trash of dangerous gangsters, they can go after both Roosevelt and Shah, but they must do so before returning to Varan. This will have no further consequences, but will guarantee the players access to the Shah and Roosevelt's Stashes, which have some nice booty.

Be sure to pick up both PDAs from the corpses to reveal the cache locations, otherwise they will be locked and players will lose the chance to get the weapons and ammo they contain.

But this quest has another option for the player to solve things faster: Killing the Varan.

What happens when players kill Varan in STALKER 2?

To complete Deal With The Devil, there are two other options that players can take if they don't want to go through the trouble of killing both Kingpings and want to speed things up.

The first is to pay Varan 20000 coupons for information, which is overkill, but if players have taken advantage of the money management glitch, they should have plenty of money to spare.

There is another one Kill Varana and his goons (there are around 10 of them so watch out) which is a faster way to complete this task. Since Varan plans to betray us from the beginning, this bypasses the other objectives and cancels the King of The Hill Quest.

After you do that, simply loot the garage key from Varan's corpse, drop down to the lower level, open the warehouse door and loot both corpses there to complete the Mission Objective.

Regardless of what players choose, upon returning to the Slag Heap, players will notice that Ward's soldiers have taken it over and a new quest will begin.

Players can still go back to Garbage and kill both Shah and Roosevelt if they want to loot their bases, even if they choose to kill Varan before completing King of the Hill.
