Apparent Xbox Series X/S release date for Silent Hill 2 remake has leaked, suggesting that the game will launch on November 21, 2025. The Silent Hill 2 The Xbox remake's release date appears to have been inadvertently leaked by Microsoft itself.

Fans Silent Hill have been hoping that the Bloober Team remake would come to other systems ever since it was released as a limited-time exclusive on PlayStation and PC. Silent Hill 2The timed exclusivity ended on October 8, leaving players anxiously awaiting news of its arrival on other systems.

As noted by TrueAchievements, Silent Hill 2 the remake leaked a November 21st release date for the Xbox Series family of consoles. The game appeared on the Microsoft Store with the aforementioned release date, but no indication that it was an Xbox Play Anywhere title. Unfortunately, the store listing also lacked any link Silent Hill 2's Born from a Wish, the original game's DLC that players hoped would be added to the game's remake in 2024. The Microsoft Store listing has since been removed.

Although a lot of game rumors and leaks turn out to be true, those coming directly from official digital distribution platforms like this tend to be more reliable than most. Other recent rumors also suggested that the game will launch soon on Xbox and follows Silent Hill 2 rating by ESRB specifically for Xbox at the end of October 2025. Since the store listing has been removed, there may be an official announcement from Microsoft or Konami/Bloober Team.

One question that remains unanswered is whether Silent Hill 2 coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. The system seems to have impressed many game developers with its capabilities, even the upcoming survival horror Resident Evil Requiem simultaneously launched on Nintendo Switch 2 along with PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. There's been no word yet on the game being rated for Switch 2, so if it's in the works, it could be sometime after the Xbox Series version is released. It's possible that some work will need to be done to make sure it plays well on the Switch 2, which may also be the reason Silent Hill f running on all modern systems except Nintendo.
