Monopoly GO players receive free tokens to compensate for some of the game's recent technical issues, including those that prevented players from receiving tokens as rewards. These issues appear to have primarily affected Spider Gwen and Nick Fury tokens from the Marvel GO album during the previous Monopoly GO season.

From September 26 to December 5 Monopoly GO players could complete various superhero-themed sticker packs in Marvel GO to earn rewards such as money, dice rolls, emotes, and shields. Stickers are usually earned in standalone events and tournaments along with completing Quick Win tasks and opening community chests. Players could also earn Marvel GO tokens by participating in limited-time events such as the Asgardian Treasure Hunt. Unfortunately, some players were unable to receive their hard-earned chips, including Monopoly GO Nick Fury token due to technical issues preventing them from being awarded. To alleviate this problem, Monopoly GO developers started giving away tokens that players may have missed.

On the clerk Monopoly GO Discord server Jose Scopely shared an update with players to confirm the issues with players not being able to get Spider Gwen and Nick Fury tokens as rewards. Since this was an error on the team's part, the developers are giving out alternate Marvel tokens to all players who had trouble getting the Spider Gwen or Nick Fury token. The token will be delivered directly to players' mailboxes Monopoly GOso players are advised to log in and claim the reward immediately. Those who already own all Marvel tokens will receive a one-time compensation for the dice rolled Monopoly GO instead.

Free Apology Tokens definitively close the chapter on Monopoly GO Marvel GO album. The new Jingle Joy album will be available until January 16th, so players have just over a month to collect all the sticker packs and claim all their rewards. Specifically, players will receive 10,000 rolls, a Santa Token, and cash for completing the Festive Album. Additional rewards can be earned by working with the community in the new Team Adventures event.
