New Resident Evil Requiem the package has appeared online and comes with a free standing drawbar. Capcom's highly-anticipated survival horror game is only a week away, and one retailer is celebrating with a rather unconventional package. In addition to getting a physical copy Resident Evil Requiemit looks like some fans will also get a chance to get in shape with this odd but very real package.
Management of Requiemthe release was littered with leaks. Several details about the game, including the return of popular character Leon Kennedy, were confirmed long before Capcom officially announced them. Even the game itself came out a little early in some areas and fans found it Resident Evil Requiem copies in the wild before the February 27 release date. While the game may have had trouble keeping a lot of things under wraps, this new bundle of drawbars was probably something no one saw coming.
Resident Evil Requiem brings back ink ribbons and limited saves, but don't stress about it
Capcom confirms that Resident Evil Requiem is bringing back limited saves via the return of the classic ink tape system, but it's not necessary.
The Resident Evil Requiem Horrifying Nightmare Set includes a Real-Life Pull-Up bar
In an infomercial-style announcement on February 19, Japanese entertainment and e-commerce company Yume Group unveiled its limited edition Resident Evil Requiem Set of scary nightmares. The bundle comes with a physical copy of the game on PS5 or Switch 2 and a pull-out bar that Yume Group calls the “Dream Hanging Health Device.” It's probably not what fans were freaking out about Resident Evil RequiemThe absence of a physical collector's edition would be welcome, but it still offers something you won't find in the Deluxe Edition. Unfortunately, anyone hoping to get their hands on the uncommon bundle has missed their chance if they haven't pre-ordered it, as the Yume Group website shows that all 50 copies are already sold out.
As strange as it may seem, the Dream Hanging Health Device is completely unrelated to the game. IN Resident Evil RequiemIn the Easter egg-filled reveal trailer, Grace Ashcroft is shown hanging upside down on some sort of medical bed or stretcher, so the pull-out bar of the Horrifying Nightmare Set is actually a reference to an actual game scene. Yume Group even hammered home the point by including a mockup of Grace hanging from the Medical Facility in their product list, though this time it's hanging right side up and doesn't look as distressed as in the trailer.
The Horrifying Nightmare Set retailed for ¥19,800, roughly $130 USD. That puts it well above the $80 Digital Deluxe Edition and the $90 Deluxe Steelbook Edition, but considering the base game costs $70, it's not an exorbitant price for both the game and the entire freestanding slide-out bar. It's also not the most expensive Resident Evil bundle, like Resident Evil 6 The Premium Edition ran for around $730 in 2012 and gave fans a genuine leather jacket similar to the one worn by Leon in the game. Only time will tell if fans will decide the Horrifying Nightmare Set is a good deal, and it may take a bit longer than other editions of the game, as Yume Group says the pack will ship around a week after. Requiemissue date.
Regardless of which version fans have ordered, they should tread carefully to avoid spoilers over the next week. Some lucky players got their hands on early copies, Resident Evil Requiem leaks have been popping up all over the internet and more are sure to come in the next few days. Still, the wait for everyone else to play the game themselves is almost over, and there are rumors of more Resident Evil remakes and gives fans even more to look forward to.
