Star Wars: Knight The Old Republic is officially one of the gaming white whales. In 2021 it was announced only in 2021 and despite the past four years we still did not hear anything about it, except for vague promises that it was not abolished and still alive. But it remains to be seen, because right now we are getting everything that is timely developmental screenshots.
Last month, we first looked at what a remake Kotor might look like, though not through official channels. In the report, the conceptual artist who worked on the title while it was made in Aspyr, shared a single picture of what the reimaginated Kashyyyk might look like. It wasn't much, but it was our first idea of the extent of the game.
Star Wars Kotor Remake Weapon and Images of props allegedly leaked
Now, in the new MP1ST report, several other shots have escaped in the first development of the shots, this time we provided us with a little more information about the game itself. According to the report, the Screenshots were shown my MP1st came from the portfolio of the former aspy artist and depicted several remoded props and weapons from the original game. One of these weapons is vibroblade.
We will also look at several blasters and some random props, as well as a screenshot of the character holding the vibroblade in an environment without a texture that seemed to have been removed directly from the prototype assembly. While most of the picture is a mess of text fields and empty environments, there is one interesting element in the lower left corner, because it seems that several faces suggest that the accompanying system would be part of the game.
It is worth noting that these are screenshots and models from assembling the game that Aspyr worked on. Kotor's remake is now in the hands of Saber Interactive, so it is quite likely that these pictures come from the assembly of a game that no longer exists. Yet it is interesting to see what Aspyr actually made before the project was taken, and what the game could actually look like if it really worked.
