Starsand Island Gives Steam Users Free DLC

Announced on Twitter, Starsand Island will offer a pack of four cosmetics to PC players on Steam as a thank you and compensation for early launch issues. The DLC includes a Yellow Swimsuit Outfit Set and a Pink Frog Pajama Set available for male and female characters. The free DLC is currently awaiting approval from Valve to launch on the store, but developer Seed Sparkle Lab says it should be processed within one to three days.

Many Steam users expressed concern about the game's restrictive EULA, which indicated in-game microtransactions and limited mod support. In response to the recent backlash, developer Seed Sparkle Lab has confirmed that one of players' biggest criticisms has been addressed. Starsand IslandVoice lines will be expanded and more story interactions will be added before the 1.0 release. “We took note [the feedback] and will add additional voice lines and narrative content to the full version to further enrich your gaming experience,” said the developer.

Although the game features famous actors such as Yuka Iguchi who voiced Tsukihi Araragi Monogatari series, current voice lines are very limited. Many players were disappointed with how text-heavy most of the interactions and cutscenes are, prompting the developers to take action before the official launch.
