One of the latest Humble Bundles, called Humble Heroines, allows players to get Steam games at prices so cheap they might as well be free. Of course, wealthier Humble Bundle buyers can donate more to the good cause while still getting access to these Steam games, with players able to spend anywhere from $18 (for 6 games, essentially free) to $45 (or more, their own).
Each of these Steam titles is a solid game with a female protagonist that's for players who are “tired of the same heroic characters with cool boy attitudes and hypermasculine stories.” Obviously, each of these games fits the Humble Heroines title and is a celebration of Women's History Month in March. But history doesn't end in a month, so fans can take advantage of this incredible offer until April 16th. A portion of these proceeds go directly to the Girls Make Games Scholarship Fund.

Sorry, we are closed
Sorry, we are closed is a survival horror game in a retro style. Players follow Michelle, a saleswoman cursed by a demon, as she explores a strange version of London filled with angels and demons. The game features fast-paced combat, multiple endings, and a “third eye” ability that allows players to see another world. It combines horror, storytelling and black humor into an unforgettable indie experience.
East
East is an action adventure RPG with pixel art graphics and a strong story. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, players follow the ever-quiet John and young psychic Sam as they travel through dangerous areas, solving puzzles and fighting enemies. East oozes charm and nostalgia while giving fans a rich, classic-inspired world to explore.
ANNO: By mutation
Players enter a neon-lit world upon launch ANNO: By mutationa cyberpunk action RPG that combines fast-paced 2D combat with 3D city exploration. Players take on the role of Ann, an experienced warrior uncovering secrets and battling powerful corporations in a futuristic city. Featuring RPG enhancements, a deep sci-fi story, and impressive pixel-art visuals, the game is a fun time for anyone who is a fan of the cyberpunk or RPG genres.
Cabernet
IN Cabernetplayers will experience a dark, story-driven RPG where every choice matters. You become a vampire named Liza navigating a pseudo-historical world full of intrigue, morality and hidden dangers. Players are constantly faced with decisions to either abuse their vampiric powers or maintain their humanity as a budding vampire, leading to various story paths and endings. Cabernet. The dialogue is rich and timely, the branches invite replayability, and the role-playing is intense. It's a solid vampire RPG experience in a visual new form.
For what it's worth, I played through Cabernet exclusively on my Steam Deck. It might only be listed as “playable” but it worked perfectly for me. I'd say this is the best way to play the game given the nature of the Steam Deck and the visual novel format.
Ereban's Shadow Legacy
Ereban's Shadow Legacy puts players in the shoes of Ayana, the last of her kind, in a fast-paced stealth platformer and asks them to master shadow-based abilities to move unseen, navigate dangerous environments and take down a ruthless corporation. With strong stealth mechanics and action-packed gameplay, Ereban's Shadow Legacy brings a thrilling and exciting adventure.
The Humble Heroines pack is here until April 16th
At such a low price, the Humble Heroines Bundle is worth investing in. At worst, players walk away with six games that people love on Steam (the horror!). At best, they'll walk away with seven things: six games that people love and an understanding that “girls can do anything” is more than just a phrase. Stealth platforming, branching stories where choices matter, cyberpunk world, general post-apocalyptic world, psychological horror, survival horror – it's all there.
