Although primarily known for its emotional and often heartwarming adventure story, choose your own, Send still has a solid game loop. Players control ex-hero Robert “Mech Man” Robertson and play the role of a dispatcher in the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN), and while story-based decision-making is a large part of the game, its actual gameplay sequences reflect the light strategy/management sims like e.g. 911 operator. During these moments in Sendplayers choose which heroes to send into the call, each offering unique strengths and weaknesses that contribute to the success or failure of the call.
However, choosing which heroes to send doesn't always depend on their strengths compared to others. SendThe Synergy system allows players to pair certain heroes together and have those strengths boosted and occasionally altered. But while each pair of Synergy enters Send has its advantages, some teams surpass others in terms of their versatility, complementary roles and the overall bonus offered by their synergy.
S-Tier
Malevola and Sonar
After that, players will no longer be able to benefit from the Malevola + Sonar combo Send Episode 3 if they decide to cut out Sonar instead of Coupe.
Mavola and Sonar are what many Send players can consider Synergy a “broken” pair in the game, due to Malevola's healing and utility coupled with Sonar's flexibility. Malevol's portal and healing mechanics, plus Sonar's strength in Intellect and his transformation abilities, can cover a wide range of mission requirements and make for what could be the best Synergy pair in Send — with Punch Up and Coupe perhaps the only comparable team. In fact, when pairing Malevola with Sonar on almost any mission, players are likely to be successful as long as their stats are distributed according to each hero's strengths.
Punch Up and Coupe
After that, players will no longer be able to take advantage of the Punch Up + Coupe combo Send Episode 3 if they decide to cut Coupe instead of Sonar.
Punch Up is already one of the SendThe most reliable heroes – given that he can't be shot down due to his Hard Head ability - Coupe starts with Combat, Intelligence, and Agility as their strongest stats, while Punch Up specializes in Combat, Charisma, and Vigor. As such, together they become one of Sendthe most advanced pairings, especially when players prefer to boost stats they are already adept at.
A-Tier
Prism and Flambae
In A-Tier, the best Synergies pair up Send they are not that versatile, but what they specialize in they do confidently. Prism and Flambae form one such pair, primarily due to Prism's Doppleganger Illusion ability, which creates copies of the hero to their left. This is especially useful with a hero like Flambae at their side, which the On Fire mechanic grants increased combat and mobility after a successful call that adds up until the call succeeds. Additionally, since Prism and Flambae both specialize in combat, this pair of heroes excels in combat calls in the game, which occur quite often during episodes 5 to 8. Send.
Invisigal and Golem
SendInvisigal and Golem are another Synergy fighting duo in the game, as they both have strong starting Combat and Vigor stats. However, when paired, Invisigal's high mobility and Golem's high Charisma help complement them for more versatility in calls. Additionally, Golem's Charisma buff gives her better crowd control and negotiation checks, while Invisigal's Mobility helps her reduce the team's travel time.
B-Tier
Malevola and Waterboy
The Malevola + Waterboy Synergy duo is only available to players if they choose to cut Sonar in Episode 3 and then add Waterboy to the team in Episode 4.
As we move down the tier list, Synergy's top pairings rely more on player decisions Sendespecially in episodes 3 and 4. In B-Tier, Malevola and Waterboy are a decent team, although Malevola's synergy with Sonar was much stronger. Waterboy starts with the weakest stat allocation Sendwhich makes a more versatile distribution of Malevola almost necessary to ensure Waterboy's success on the call. For players who choose to add Waterboy to the team Send Episode 4, this is a pairing you must have.
Punch Up and Phenomaman
The Punch Up + Phenomaman Synergy duo is only available to players if they choose to cut the coupe in Episode 3 and then add Phenomaman to the team in Episode 4.
Unlike the combination of Malevola and Waterboy, SendThe Punch Up and Phenomaman Synergy duo is much stronger – even if it means refusing to add Waterboy to the team in Episode 4. Specifically, Phenomaman has some of the best starting stats in the game, and by then players should have their Punch Up stats in a very strong place. Plus, again, the Hardhead Punch Up ability makes him a reliable hero, so paired with the already strong Phenomaman, the team can do quite well. The biggest downside is that the two primarily specialize in Combat and Vigor, meaning players will not only have to reject Waterboy, but also prioritize sending Punch Up and Phenomaman on combat-heavy missions.
C-Tier
Punch Up and Waterboy
The Punch Up + Waterboy Synergy duo is only available to players if they choose to cut Coupe in Episode 3 and then add Waterboy to the team in Episode 4.
Punch Up and Waterboy combo Send tells a somewhat similar story to the Malevola/Waterboy pairing, in that Punch Up's stats help complement Waterboy's. While Waterboy has an incredibly poor stat allocation, with Intellect, Charisma, and Mobility being his “strengths,” Punch Up has high Combat, Charisma, and Vigor stats to help fill the gaps left by Waterboy. The problem, though, is that Waterboy doesn't just need to fill in the gaps—he needs to build on his own strengths, too. The pair of Malevola and Waterboy Synergy thus contributes to a higher success rate of calls Send than the duo Punch Up and Waterboy.
Malevola and Phenomaman
Finally, a pair of Malevola and Phenomaman Synergy were added Send is actually a strong team when it comes to stats. First, there is Malevola, who is a very well equipped hero with high combat and charisma. Second, there's Phenomaman, who not only has some of the strongest starting stats in the game, but also has high Combat, Vitality, and Mobility, making his synergy with Malevola top notch. However, despite their stat pairing, this Synergy pair entered Send it requires players to cut Sonar, whose Intellect and versatility are nearly unmatched, and reject Waterboy, whose late-game abilities ultimately make him a better choice than Phenomaman.
