Kingdom Come: Deliverance could get a PS5 version in February 2026

In 2024, a Redditor named bertik11 claimed Kingdom Come: Deliverance would get the current-gen version in early 2026, and now they're back to offer more information on the rumors. While the leaker originally suggested a January to April release window for the PS5 edition, he has now narrowed it down to February, but also warned fans not to expect too much. According to bertik11, the “remaster” is essentially a port of the PC version of the game. If that's the case, then the PS5 release KCD it doesn't offer major graphical improvements, but it would likely support frame rates up to 60 FPS and come with a few texture and sound quality improvements that have since been released as DLC for the PC version.

A February 2026 release window would make sense for a new version of the game Kingdom Come: Deliverance turns eight that month. The leak also hinted that Warhorse Studios may be overshadowing the upgrade, responding to other users in the comments that the studio has been targeting a February release for months but has made no announcement, which could mean it's planning a surprise launch. It's worth noting that Warhorse teased himself KCD PS5 upgrade reacts to a tweet about a rumored port with an eye emoticon. While this doesn't necessarily mean a current-gen update is imminent, it seems awfully suspicious in light of the timing and surrounding rumors.

The leak didn't mention pricing, but many Redditors speculated that the PS5 version KCD it may be free for those who already own the PS4 edition. That's what Rockstar did when they announced the original Red Dead Redemption was getting the current generation upgrade, although there were some technical issues while rolling out the free update. This would also make sense if the new version is just a modernized port and not a full remaster. However, without any official word from Warhorse, it's impossible to say anything beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Since Warhorse's tease earlier in December and bertik11 correctly leaked it Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2Delays in the past, a PS5 upgrade seems likely. If things go the way they look like they will, this could be a nice way to celebrate the franchise now that KCD2 attracted the attention of a larger fan base. A native version of the PS5 could also help expand the current generation of consoles due to concerns that a lack of RAM could delay the next-gen PS6 and Xbox. Whatever the case, fans probably won't have to wait long to find out more.
