If there is one thing that Jujutsu Kaisen the franchise is famous and quite popular, they are amazing characters written by the creator Gege Akutami. Throughout the series, Akutami has introduced many incredible characters, some of whom have essentially become the face of modern anime, with Satoru Gojo being the most common example.

Most of the heroes and villains in the story are very well written and that's why Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the few series that hardly has any outright despised characters. Despite this, there are a few notable ones whose mere existence in the show is enough to turn on even the most die-hard fans, so let's break down the five most unlikeable characters of all Jujutsu Kaisen.

Many feel that Kasumi Miwa was a wasted character

Although people generally like her, most feel that she is a wasted character, whose presence does not bring anything essential to the story. Because of this, he leaked sensitive information to the Pseudo-Geto and the disastrous curses that led to the Shibuya incident in order to improve himself, so most fans of the series gather a lot of unfavorable opinions towards him.

Naoya Zenin is a horrible person who holds power in the Zenin clan

Naoya Zenin is one of the fastest wizards in the entire setting and is one of the most prominent members of the Zenin Clan. Despite these notable accolades, he tends to be hated among fans due to his deeply misogynistic views on the world and incredibly arrogant behavior towards almost everyone else. Maki remains one of the fandom's most beloved characters, so every single interaction he has with her just hammers home the hatred fans already have for him.

Mahito killed off some of the series' most beloved characters

Although known as a terrible villain, Sukuna cannot be said to be the most cruel and sadistic of all Jujutsu Kaisen antagonists is Mahito, whose grotesque abilities perfectly reflect his disgusting personality. Despite this, however, he remains one of the best-written and most compelling villains in the series, and his entire relationship with Yuji is one of the best parts of the franchise as a whole.

As for why Mahito dislikes him so much; he's the one who killed both Nanami and Junpei, the former being one of the fandom's most beloved characters, killed by Mahito in one of the most shocking scenes in the series. As unlikeable as he may be, his role in the story is essential and no one can imitate it.

Although Mahito and Sukuna killed off beloved characters, they still remain essential aspects of the overarching story Jujutsu Kaisen and are easily some of the best characters that have greatly influenced the setting. However, Haruta is one character who adds absolutely nothing and almost everything about him is incredibly annoying and infuriating. From his personality to his abilities, everything about him screams “pathetic”.

It's true that Sukuna and Mahito forced fans to say goodbye to some of their most beloved characters, but the positives about them have won them many fans over the years. However, there is a joke in the Haruta Shigemo community that has absolutely no fans, and given the character it is, it seems completely believable.
