Warning: This article contains spoilers for the One Piece manga.
One of the many factors that make up One piece successful adventure series is its beautifully vast world. Part of that comes from having a diverse population. While humans make up the majority of the series' population, a large number of other tribes and races inhabit its world. Each of them has unique quirks and characteristics that set them apart from one another.
Naturally speaking, the weak are killed in a world full of brutal fighting. IN One pieceHowever, the Sky Dragons play a major role in said culling. The reason for this would either be because certain races have committed acts deemed illegal by the government, or simply because they are too powerful to be a threat to the world government. And so a lot of the powerful races in the series are either on the brink of extinction or are a thing of the past.
Fish men
Arlong is the first Fish-Man introduced in the manga, and he did a very poor job of representing his race. He believed that the Fishmen were far superior to humans and aimed to rule East Blue with his pirate crew of Fishmen. Although he is quite an extremist, he is not completely wrong. Fish-Men are undeniably one of the most powerful races One piece.
Pisces men are naturally born strong. They have ten times the strength of a typical human and also have the innate ability to breathe and tread water. Fishmen who choose to become warriors can also train in water manipulation, just like Jinbe's Fish-Man Karate attacks.
Since Fish-Men are half fish and half man, they also come in different types with different advantages. Arlong, who is a Sawshark Fish-Man, can repeatedly shed and grow his sharp teeth. It also has a weapon-like nose that can break through hard rocks. Similarly, Hachi, who is an octopus fish man, uses his multiple arms to wield six swords. However, what makes the Fish Man most terrifying is the existence of the ancient weapon of Poseidon. Once every few centuries, a mermaid princess is born with the power to command the gigantic Neptunians. With this power, Poseidon is said to be able to sink an island with a single command.

Giant
Another race that was introduced early in the series are the Giants. As their name suggests, they are massive creatures towering about ten times the size of a human. Along with their gargantuan stature comes unparalleled strength. They are born naturally strong, making them prime candidates for warriors. Even the world government recognizes the power of the giants, who are constantly trying to bring them under their control.
The most common known giants are those that came from Elbaf, including Dorra, Broggy, Oimo, and Kashii. However, they are not the only tribe of giants. There are others, though the Elbaf giants are said to be the strongest of the tribes. Still, the other Giants cannot be mocked. After all, the Yeti Cool Brothers, whose Giant lineage has yet to be revealed, are formidable enough to catch Law's attention in Punk Hazard.
Ancient giants
The Old Giants come from a tribe of giants that are three times the size of the average giant. They have long been said to have ruled the New World, but what actually happened to them remains unknown. What is known is that there is no longer any known pureblood Ancient Giant in the series, and the only named introduced in the series is Vesla – the giant zombie that Gecko Moria used to host Luffy's shadow in Thriller Bark.
Several other ancient giants are said to exist, though they are all frozen. The reason Rocks D. Xebec wanted to team up with Harald was to revive them. Although there are no other known pure-blooded ancient giants, they are not yet completely extinct. The numerous characters and their pedigrees are alive and exciting. Harald, with his signature horns, is one of the most striking of them all. His two sons — Loki and Hajrudin — naturally also have the same lineage. Although not purebloods, all three are formidable in battle. Harald was no match for Rocks in battle. Loki had just proven that he could take over most of Elbaf, and Hajrudin had far and away proven his worth in Dressros.
Lunarians
Another nearly extinct but powerful race One piece they are Lunarians. They are a very durable race who were said to live on the red line. However, the only known member of the race is King, Kaid's right-hand man.
Lunarians have a different look represented by King. They have dark skin, black wings and a flame burning on their back. They can create fire and also manipulate it to create powerful attacks. They have insane durability and are said to withstand any attack. However, they are not actually invincible. Once the flame on their back goes out, they become vulnerable.
Although King is the only known Lunarian in the series, Vegapunk used his blood to create the Seraphim. They too have the same lunar appearance, but more likely to be warlords. Vegapunk also granted everyone the Devil Fruit ability, making it one of the strongest military forces One piece.
People
People don't have to seem like much, not even in One piecebut it's hard to argue against the power of humanity. After all, there is a reason why they are the most distinctive race. Of course, the average human wouldn't stand a chance against any of the other races on the list. Even so, the most remarkable ones would be enough to tip the balance in favor of humanity.
Clan of D is a famous clan in the series, especially since Luffy himself is a part of it. Most of its known members are human, and each of them is a formidable fighter. Other notable members include Gol D. Roger, Monkey D. Garp, Monkey D. Dragon and Rocks D. Xebec. Another group of similar renown are the Sky Dragons. Granted, the typical one is nothing more than a waste of air, but people like the Figarland family, the Five Elders, and maybe even Imu make them noteworthy. Then there are also other Emperors like Big Mom and Whitebeard as well as Warlords like Crocodile, Dracule Mihawk and Gecko Moria.
