The 7 Most Overpowered Dragon Ball Super Transformations, Ranked

Dragon Ball the transformations are only stronger and stronger in Dragon Ball Super. With the introduction of God forms and personal transformations, the Z-Fighters and their enemies reached a level of power that no one would have thought possible by the end of the year. Dragon Ball Z — and that's saying something considering how overpowered the main cast and their enemies were at the end of the Majin Buu saga.

The strongest transformation in Dragon Ball Super they aren't necessarily the strongest forms, as they raise their users' performance levels to heights they frankly shouldn't be capable of. Saiyans, Heeters and Frieza perform feats that would rank even Super Saiyan Vegito Dragon Ball ZFusion Saga to shame.

Super Saiyan Rage Future Trunks made him strong enough to defeat Fused Zamasu

Super Saiyan Rage is one of the strongest power-ups of all Dragon Ball. By simply training with Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta in the Goku Black Saga, Future Trunks manages to absorb his father's residual God Ki, which he then taps into when fighting Fused Zamasu at the end of the arc. Unlocking Super Saiyan Rage allows Future Trunks to fight on par with Fused Zamasu, the enemy that gave both SSB Goku and Vegeta trouble a while ago.

Channeling the energy of the survivors in his timeline the same way Goku does with the Spirit Bomb, Super Saiyan Rage Future Trunks uses his Sword of Hope to cut Fused Zamasu in two. Unfortunately, Zamasu is immortal, so Trunks doesn't actually manage to kill him despite the technical win. Of course, Dragon Ball Super the manga does not include Super Saiyan Rage to make Future Trunks' power scaling more consistent within the story.

Super Saiyan Blue Evolved Vegeta surpasses Goku's SSB version

Vegeta unlocked Super Saiyan Blue Evolved while fighting Toppo during the Tournament of Power. An advanced version of Super Saiyan Blue exclusive to Vegeta, even Beerus notices how Vegeta's Power Level and Aura changed when he first tapped SSBE. Super Saiyan Blue Evolved is so powerful that it makes Vegeta strong enough to defeat Toppa and still have enough energy to fight Jiren.

The 7 Most Overpowered Dragon Ball Super Characters of All Time, Ranked

Dragon Ball Super's most powerful characters aren't just strong, they're outright overpowered.

This is especially impressive since Toppo has essentially become the God of Destruction at this point, technically Super Saiyan Blue Evolved Vegeta became the only mortal in the series to defeat the god of destruction. When it comes to power scaling, Super Saiyan Blue Evolution Vegeta is roughly on par with Ultra Instinct Sign Goku. SSBE has since become Vegeta's main form, and Vegeta even used it instead of Ultra Ego to fight Gohan Beast in Dragon Ball Super Saiyan battle royale in chapter 103.

Vegeta's Ultra Ego grows more the more he fights

mastered-ultra-ego
Vegeta's Mastered Ultra Ego from Dragon Ball

While Super Saiyan Blue Evolution is a much more reliable form, there's something to be said for Ultra Ego's raw power. Ultra Ego Vegeta has yet to win a fight, but that's only because he hasn't had enough time to master the flaws of the transformation. Unlike Ultra Instinct, Ultra Ego gets stronger the longer the user fights and the more damage they take. This is the perfect form for Vegeta, who is often choked by his enemies.

Ultra Ego means being stronger than Ultra Instinct in terms of power levels. Vegeta goes from being destroyed by Granolah to an Ultra Ego that helps him level the playing field. Unfortunately, Granolah's wish for the Dragon Balls to become the strongest in the universe and Vegeta's raw power help him unlock the full range of his powers. Once Vegeta takes control of Ultra Ego, he will be an even bigger beast in battle.

True Ultra Instinct Goku can stack Super Saiyan on top of UI

Goku unlocked Ultra Instinct while fighting Jiren in the Tournament of Power, and his UI controls have improved with each individual story arc since then. In the Moro Saga, Merus teaches Goku how to clear his heart and mind so he can use Mastered Ultra Instinct at any time. He even manages to master Ki control while using the form, allowing him to astral project his energy into Kaiju-like apparitions. Goku takes Ultra Instinct even further in Granolah Saga.

The 6 Strongest Dragon Ball Super Characters with the Most Potential, Ranked

There are a few Dragon Ball characters that honestly don't need to train to keep up with Goku and Vegeta's feats.

When fighting Granolah and Gas, Goku uses a new variation of Ultra Instinct called True Ultra Instinct. TUI visually resembles Ultra Instinct Sign, but can be triggered at any time. Additionally, True Ultra Instinct can be enhanced by stacking Super Saiyan forms on top of it. True Ultra Instinct Goku is the best of both worlds where he can utilize the God Ki multipliers of his forms as well as natural Ultra Instinct buffs. From Dragon Ball Super: Super HeroHowever, Goku reverts to using Mastered Ultra Instinct as his main UI version.

Awakened Gas was briefly the strongest character in Universe 7

Awakened Gas vs Granolah

The Heeters are some of the most powerful beings in Universe 7, and their realm is rivaled only by Frieza. Unlike other races that have unique transformers, Heeters cannot control their full powers when their inner nature is unleashed and they become insane. Because of this disadvantage, the Heeters use mind limiters as power limiters to keep them from going out of control. After Elec wishes for Gas to become the strongest being in the universe no matter what, Gas is able to control his Inner Nature in his Awakened form.

Awakened Gas has all the raw power of his berserk Inner Nature form, with almost complete control over his abilities and powers. Awakened Gas is so overwhelmingly powerful that Ultra Instinct Goku, Ultra Ego Vegeta, and even Granolah don't stand a chance against it. Awakened Gas was by far the most powerful character in Universe 7 when he debuted – until Black Frieza showed up and instantly killed him. Unfortunately for Gase, the wish Elec gave him also makes him older to fully utilize his power, eventually causing him to crumble into dust just to keep up with Black Frieza.

Broly's full Super Saiyan power breaks all logic of power scaling

dbs-broly-legendary-super-saiyan

Broly is the greatest Saiyan prodigy Dragon Ball history. Broly was born with a staggering power level of 10,000 and only grew stronger over the years. More than 40 years later in Dragon Ball Super: BrolyBroly is so strong in his base form (with virtually zero training aside from surviving on Planet Vampa) that he is strong enough to fight Super Saiyan God Goku and Vegeta. After unlocking Super Saiyan, Broly goes from weaker than God Ki to stronger than Super Saiyan Blue – the strongest form of God Ki for Saiyans.

Dragon Ball GT Turns 30: A Look Back at Black Sheep of the Franchise

After three decades, Dragon Ball GT remains the most controversial entry in the franchise, but some fans are giving it a second chance.

Broly becomes even more powerful when he unlocks his Legendary Super Saiyan version. Super Saiyan Broly's full strength is so overpowered that he is strong enough to fight on par with Super Saiyan Gogeta. This is an incredible feat considering Gogeta is the most powerful fusion in history. The only reason Broly loses is because Gogeta goes Super Saiyan Blue and overpowers him. This means that Full Power Super Saiyan Broly gets stronger the longer he fights, so he could theoretically match SSB Gogeta over time.

1

Black Frieza is the biggest OP transformation in Dragon Ball history

There was never a Dragon Ball a transformation as extremely overpowered as Black Frieza. By training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for ten years in another universe, Frieza goes from being weaker than Jiren in the Tournament of Power to far stronger than Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta combined in Granolah Saga.

Black Frieza is so powerful that he instantly kills Gas – the enemy Goku, Vegeta, and Granolah have been trying to defeat for entire chapters – and then defeats UI Goku and UE Vegeta with a hit they don't even have time to react to. From Dragon Ball Super: Super HeroBlack Frieza, the manga adaptation, is the strongest mortal in the multiverse, and none of the Z-Fighters come close to matching his power level.
