The 7 Strongest Kamehamehas That Are Not Goku's

No anime technique is as iconic as Goku's Kamehameha. While all other popular shonen series and characters have their own set of amazing moves, nothing is as recognizable as the blue energy wave that has become synonymous with Dragon Ball alone. But just because Goku is the character most associated with the move doesn't mean he's the only one who uses it.

Goku used the Kamehameha the most throughout the series and even he came up with the most variations. But he learned the move from Master Roshi and it is the basic technique of all Turtle School students. We've seen plenty of other characters take on Kamehameha, and while they may not all be as strong as Goku, they're still impressive in their own right. Here's a look at non-Goku characters (excluding fusions like Gogeta and Vegito) who have some of the strongest Kamehamehas.

Broly, Super Saiyan Majin Vegeta and Zamasu

Dragon Ball: The 10 Best-Written Villains in the Franchise, Ranked

Dragon Ball villains are the perfect blend of great character designs, strong motivations, and strong writing that will make you think of them forever.

The Greatest Kamehameha

The Greatest Kamehameha

Now this could be considered a Goku move, but Master Roshi invented the Kamehameha. He used it extensively throughout the series, but as it was gradually sidelined by stronger characters, Toriyama never found a reason to use it in and out of battle.

In addition to the art of war, we must also master the art of peace! The Turtle Hermit School will be with you… always! This will be my biggest and most powerful Kamehameha!”

Like many characters who were eliminated throughout the series, Roshi had his (potentially final) moment to shine during the Tournament of Power, where he unleashed a MAX Power Kamehameha variant that he called his “biggest and most powerful Kamehameha”. Roshi uses his healing power to attack, taking a heavy toll on the old martial artist, but delivering an incredibly powerful attack that he would otherwise be unable to handle.

Electric Kamehameha

Gohan Electric Kamehameha

  • The only character who used Kamehameha more than Goku is his son Gohan. Although young Gohan was known for using the Masenko a lot in battles, Gohan gradually incorporated various variations of the Kamehameha into his arsenal. One of his more overlooked moves is the Electric Kamehameha.

Visually, the Electric Kamehameha stands out from the rest due to its intense golden aura, which looks more like a traditional ki blast than a Kamehameha wave. Gohan used this move to try and destroy Majin Buu while he was still sealed. The attack seemed strong enough, but unfortunately it failed to destroy Buu's cocoon before he woke up. Gohan later uses this technique again against Super Buu, and although the ensuing beam clash ends in a draw, you get a better idea of how destructive it can be.

Solar Kamehameha

Cell had all the makings of being the final boss villain for the series. With Earth's mightiest warriors serving as the foundation of his genetic make-up, Cell was able to use a variety of techniques and possessed a variety of abilities that made him one of the most challenging villains in the series.

Cell is one of the few Dragon Ball villains who used the Kamehameha against the heroes of the series. Like most characters who have used this technique, Cell has come up with variations of it, with his Solar Kamehameha standing out as his most powerful attack. This is the attack that Cell uses to try and finish off the injured SS2 Gohan for good along with his allies and the rest of Earth. It looked like Cell would be able to finish things off for a while, but Gohan was able to push through with his father-son Kamehameha and destroy the bio-android for good.

Ultimate Kamehameha

Ultimate Kamehameha Gohan

Another Gohan Kamehameha, this is the Kamehameha he used in his fight against Perfect Cell to counter the Earth Destroying Kamehameha. Anyone else probably couldn't even match the destructive power of Cell's planet-destroying attack, but Gohan's Ultimate Kamehameha came through in style.

The Ultimate Kamehameha works just like the regular version of the attack, but with much more power. In addition to the battle with Cell, Gohan also used this technique in the Tournament of Power and uses it against Seven-Three in the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga.

Majin Kamehameha

Cell isn't the only villain to try his hand at Kamehameha. Buu has used this technique before, with his version aptly referred to as the Majin Kamehameha.

Buu first used the attack against Goku during their initial confrontation when the latter debuted his Super Saiyan 3 form. Buu only used the move by mimicking Goku, making it an even more impressive feat. Kid Buu used it against Goku's Super Spirit Bomb but was unable to stop it.

Chocolate Kamehameha

Chocolate-Kamehameha

GT may be a polarizing series, but one thing that did go well was the inclusion of UUb. Although he did not play the biggest role, GT at least it gave fans a glimpse of what the older Uub could do.

After merging with Good Buu, Uub becomes Majuub, gaining immense power and a unique advantage in battle. Unlike most kamehameh, Majuub's Chocolate Kamehameha does no damage. Instead, it turns the target into chocolate, much like Buu's Transfiguration Beam does. It's a unique attack, and while it doesn't deal damage, it's a tough move for opponents to defend against.

Super Black Kamehameha

After stealing Goku's body, Goku Black (or really Zamasu) had access to all of his strongest attacks. So it's only natural that he came up with his own, incredibly powerful version of Kamehameha.

Goku Black uses this technique when powered up in Super Saiyan Rosé, initially charging up another variant called the Black Kamehameha before reaching full power and firing it towards the opponent. Goku Black used a Super Black Kamehameha against Goku and Future Trunks while Future Zamasu held them both in place and seriously injured them both.
