Reinhard is one of Subaru's best friends in Re:Zero and is widely recognized as one of the most OP characters in the series as he is the current Holy Sword in Lugunica. So when Subaru asks Reinhard for help, he gladly obliges to take Sirius down himself.
However, Reinhard's act of heroism went from a confident rescue to a tragic situation that ended up killing Subaru. With one slash, Reinhard splits Sirius' body in two. What he considered an act of heroism in helping Emilia escalate into a nightmare she would never forget. Furthermore, Subaru experienced Elsa cutting his stomach again, despite anticipating her movements.
Puck cut Subaru's head off
Puck is mostly friendly to Subaru. In fact, they like to meet and spend time together as if they have known each other for a very long time. However, the artificial spirit does not coddle Emilia, and the moment her safety is threatened, his gentle nature vanishes in an instant, replaced by a cold, malicious personality that even Subaru finds terrifying.

Rem tortures Subaru and ends his life
Before Subaru gained Remo's complete trust and loyalty, he had to die twice in her presence, trapped in the horrors of Margrave Mathers' mansion. While Subaru's first death happened in his sleep and the second took place in the halls of the mansion, the third struck at an even more desperate moment when he learned of Remo's betrayal.
Armed with a mace, Rem tortured Subaru and forced him to confess that he was a spy from another faction seeking the king's crown. Remo's brutal interrogations break Subaru and bring him to tears as he tries to fight back. Feeling so hopeless, he refuted Remo's accusations without a chance to convince her. In the end, Rem quickly kills him to finally end his suffering.
Sirius hangs Subaru
Subaru suffers another brutal death at the hands of Sirius, the Sinful Archbishop of Wrath, who can synchronize emotions, senses, and physical damage to anyone within her reach. It's a deadly ability that Subaru experienced with Lusbel when Sirius caught them together in the watchtower.
Sirius quickly used the chain to tie Subaru around his neck, connecting Lusbel's fear with him. The same is true with Lusbel, who shares feelings about Subaru's physical injuries. Soon after, Sirius hangs Subaru, who slowly dies gasping for air as his thoughts spiral into horror. Lusbel, on the other hand, falls into absolute fear and shock when Subaru dies.
A large rabbit eats Subaru alive
Rabbits are cute, but rabbits inside Re: Zero they are deadly killers who satisfy their intense appetite by eating anyone or anything they come across. They may look like weak isekai monsters, but when their numbers pile up, it's safe to assume that their target will be consumed without leaving any body parts behind, including bones. It is best to avoid them, but it may be too late to escape.
This happens to Subaru in Re:Zero Season 2, where he finds himself surrounded by countless rabbits that seem harmless at first but later eat him alive. Each rabbit jumped to taste Subaru's flesh, tearing him apart while he remained fully conscious and unable to escape. The scene that follows is pure nightmare fuel as the rabbits take their time eating his arms, legs and more. Phew!
