The 8 Most Powerful Super Saiyan Techniques, Ranked

The introduction of the Super Saiyan form has completely changed Dragon Ball forever. FROM already changed the scale of the series' performance with alien invaders and the revelation that there was a Universe of Unknown Threats out there, more powerful than anything seen in the original series up to that point. Super Saiyan not only gave the core Dragon Ball characters a way to push through these obstacles and reach the top, but also expanded what was possible for the series going forward.

Now the regular Super Saiyan transformations have been overshadowed by their godlike counterparts. While they are no longer suitable against truly powerful enemies, characters can still perform at their best when using the Super Saiyan, SSJ2, SSJ3, and more recently, now the SSJ4 canon. These are some of the most powerful techniques we've seen characters use in these Super Saiyan forms.

Super Saiyan Blue Evolved Vegeta, Super Saiyan Gogeta and Ultra Instinct Goku

Dragon Ball: Top 10 Strongest Characters Who Can Use God Ki Ranked

God Ki is incredibly rare and reserved for only the strongest fighters in the Dragon Ball Super multiverse.

Father-Son Kamehameha

Father-Son Kamehameha

One of the most iconic moments in the series is when Gohan, battered and broken after a grueling battle against Cell, with the help of his recently deceased father, manages to pull through and win a seemingly impossible showdown with the beam, destroying the terrifying villain and saving the Earth from destruction.

Father-son Kamehameha is a favorite of many Dragon Ball fans. It shows Gohan's incredible durability and strength in RZ2, as well as Goku's ability to affect those around him. It's a really special moment that the franchise has tried to recreate, but nothing compares to the original.

True Kamehameha

We haven't seen much of Super Saiyan 3 Goku. While it definitely gave Goku a massive power boost, it was what limited his ability to use it consistently. Even though we didn't see much of it, SS3 Goku did some amazing stunts.

While in Super Saiyan 3, Goku debuts one of his most powerful Kamehamehas; True Kamehameha. Goku uses this technique after seeing Kid Buu try his own version of the Kamehameha. Goku's quickly proves to be the best attack and can deal a lot of damage to Buu.

Maximum final flash

Although Vegeta initially skipped SS3 after failing to reach that level in the original series, DAIMA gave the Saiyan Prince his chance to show it off.

Although initially exclusive to his Super Saiyan 4 transformation GTDAIMA's version of Maximum Final Flash looks different from its alternate universe counterpart. While the original takes on a green aura, the DAIMA Maximum Final Flash is more like the regular Final Flash, but with more power and a much scarier and possibly stronger explosion.

The Transcendent Power of Kamehameha

Veget wasn't the only one to show off a new transformation in DAIMA. In a move many didn't see coming, the series actually went ahead and created the Super Saiyan 4 canon, with Goku achieving the iconic GT form and bringing it to the main line.

As you'd expect, Goku was a menace in his new form, debuting one of the strongest Kamehameha we've ever seen. The Transcendent Power Kamehameha resembles the original, but with a reddish tint added on top of the regular blue. It doesn't just look fancy either. It was one of the most powerful techniques in DAIMA, breaking through the first and second demon worlds.

A gigantic disaster

A gigantic disaster

The original version of Broly was a monster who won fans over with his amazing strength. The canon reimagining of the character had some big shoes to fill and at the very least managed to surpass the original in raw power.

We saw Broly use a lot of devastating techniques during his movie debut. No matter what he threw at him, Broly was able to push on and hit back even harder. His Gigantic Catastrophe is a combo move where Broly starts with a Gigantic Roar, then fires a Gigantic Cluster followed by a Gigantic Full Blast. This technique shows Broly's brute strength, and even if Gogeta could survive it, most wouldn't be able to withstand the attack.

Kamehameha Finale

Kamehameha SSJ Finals

Vegito gave us some of the best moments of the Buu Saga, even though we didn't get much. We got to see the combined power of Goku and Vegeta in a way we never had before, with the powerful combination often toying with Super Buu.

Vegito's Final Kamehameha is a combination of Final Flash and Kamehameha. The move begins to look like a regular Kamehameha when Vegito charges it, but when he fires a wave, his hand movement mimics that of the Final Flash, releasing a blinding light capable of decimating opponents.

Stardust Breaker

Stardust Breaker

Although it wasn't made canon until Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta used it against Broly DBSwe saw Gogeta use Stardust Breaker for the first time as a Super Saiyan against Janemba in Fusion Reborn. The first repetition of this move proves to be a deadly finisher, blasting Janembu away and dealing enough damage to return Saike to his original form.

It is one of the most powerful energy balls in the series, with a striking visual appearance that matches the incredible damage it can do. There's not much that can compete with this one for style or power.
