Pharmacy diaries is one of the highest rated anime series of the past five years. The success of the first season meant that a second was inevitable. In fact, a second season was announced after the first season finale. The next season has been confirmed to air sometime in 2025.

The Apothecary Diaries teased an announcement for October 22, 2024, and viewers predicted that it was related to the second season. Finally, official X (formerly Twitter) released a statement confirming that Apothecary Diaries Season 2 will be released in January 2025.

The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 Release Date

The second season of Apothecary Diaries will air its first episode on January 10, 2025. The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the anime has revealed a new key visual featuring Mamao and Jinshi. The cast for the anime will remain unchanged, so fans can expect all the voice actors to reprise their roles from the first season.

The Apothecary Diaries is a light novel written by Natsu Hyūga. The light novel was serialized in Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2011. It received a manga adaptation in 2017. It was written by Itsuki Nanao and illustrated by Nekokurage.

An anime adaptation of The Apothecary Diaries was announced as early as February 2023. The first series had two runs and began airing in October 2023. The first season of The Apothecary Diaries released its final episode on March 24, 2024.

The first opening for Apothecary Dairies, Hana ni Natte, was performed by Ryokuoushoku Shakai. Aina the End worked on Aina the End, the first ending song. Uru's Ambivalent was the second opening theme song for Apothecary Diaries. Ai wa Kusuri was the second ending song and was performed by Wacci.
