The gears are set in motion as Subaru and his allies begin planning to stop the witch cult once and for all
Midway through the season, episode eight focuses on setting the scene for the Counter Attack Arc, with much of the episode following the war council and their plan to destroy the witch cult. With the powerful Reinhard van Astre available to fight, Subaru and his group, filled with characters from all sides of the Royal Selection, come together to form certain factions to oppose specific Sin Archbishops in Priestella.
While much is being prepared, some interesting details emerge, with the revelation of the Tome of Wisdom still existing and Theresia van Astrea being brought back into the fold, leading to situations that could dramatically change events to come. In the closing moments, Emilia's turn against Regulus at the wedding ceremony and the arrival of Subaru and Reinhard give viewers a glimpse of the all-out war to come, with the episode setting the stage for an epic second half. season.

Among the best moments of the episode are the explorations of Reinhard and Wilhelm van Astrea's difficult relationship, keeping Subaru with Wilhelm on the subject serious and interesting.
Despite the comfortable and satisfying content of the episode, the cliffhanger of Subaru and the residents of Priestell falling victim to the new character Sirius sends Subaru back in time, a situation the character has to deal with once again.
4 Episode Four – “Operation: Take Back the Government Office”
A Subaru war party full of eclectic characters takes on the cult of witches
Midway through Season 3, a war room and group is quickly set up in Priestella after devastating attacks by a witch cult. Led by characters like Subaru, Anastasia, Wilhelm and Julius, the protagonist is surrounded by many fan favorites as the team calculates their next steps. In response, a newly formed war party with a variety of characters take on a group of witch cult members near the town hall where Capella was stationed.
The combination and teamwork between characters like Crusch Karsten, Garfiel and Julius make for epic viewing. However, the episode's cliffhanger reveals another Sin Archbishop of Gluttony, Roy Alphard, making events even more unpleasant. Re: Zero's heroes as the arc heats up.

After Sirius and Emilia's epic battle, Regulus, who comes to steal the half-elf, leaves the episode on a cliff, leaving Subaru in despair as he watches as the one he loves is declared the bride of the vile Sin Archbishop Greed.

At the beginning of the episode, with a short but interesting conversation between Al and Emilia using the communication mirrors, Subaru becomes the focus of the war party.
In one of the best moments of the season, Subaru delivers a heartfelt and emotional speech that touches the citizens, giving them hope against the witch cult while dispelling the authority of anger. Subaru's victory speech shows the growth of the characters since the beginning of the show, with the once selfish and ignorant protagonist eventually becoming a worthy champion for Emilia and Lugunica.
