After a string of average build options in the last few Diablo 4 seasons, the Barbarians have a bright future in Season 11. Despite losing access to the Chaos Armor when Diablo 4 As Season 11 begins, the Barbarian class is poised to become a top contender in the meta with its new Unique. Barbarian players looking for a fast and powerful lineup this coming season have a clear choice, and very little investment is required to get completely smashed.
Barbarians are typically known for spinning through screams to straighten up and pick off enemies before unleashing heavy attacks. Most of the best barbarians built-in Diablo 4 use some combination of War Cry, Challenging Shout, and Rallying Cry with single target or AoE damage skills as the base setup of their hot bar. However, Diablo 4 Season 11 takes these basics and strips them down to the bare bones for a barbaric S-Tier build that is surprisingly fast while still being able to tank enemy hits.
LeapQuake Barbarians can break quickly thanks to the new unique Diablo 4 Season 11
Since then, LeapQuake Barbarian has existed Diablo 4 first released but has been very inconsistent in its usability from season to season. This build relies on the mobility of the Leap skill to move consistently and Ground Stomp to spread Earthquake damage across the screen. With Aspect of Earthquake and Executioner's Aspect added to this build, players can add additional AoE damage at the end of each jump. The only issue is Leap's cooldown, which isn't a factor thanks to the new Chainscourged Mail Unique in season 11.

-
At first glance, Chainscourged Mail's ability to disable Brawling Skills after using them seems like it would put the barbarian at a disadvantage. However, if a player only has one damaging Brawling skill on their active panel, then this unique affix should allow it to be instantly re-enabled. While players won't get much of a boost from disabling multiple skills, the tradeoff of being able to spam Leap without a cooldown far outweighs the temporary damage boost.
The key to making LeapQuake Barbarian so powerful Diablo 4 Tier 11 with Chainscourged Mail limits the number of damaging Brawling Skills equipped while increasing the opportunities to trigger Earthquake. To this end, barbarian players will want to invest in the following skills:
-
Jump
-
Ground Stomp
-
Rally Cry
-
war cry
-
A defiant cry
-
Call of the Ancients
The three screams on the hot bar are used to fulfill their usual role of buffing the barbarian and debuffing enemies. Jump is the primary skill that players will want to spam as it allows the barbarian to be much more mobile than ever before. Ground Stomp serves as one of the potential triggers for Earthquakes with Aspect of Earthquakes on Legendary. Another Earthquake trigger comes from the Executioner's Aspect, which will cause an Earthquake whenever the player overpowers an enemy.
Call of the Ancients is the best skill for this build as it gives Barbarian extra AoE damage as well as a 30% damage boost from his primary buff. The battle loop of this build then changes to buffing and debuffing with screams, then constantly using Leap to move around the battlefield and avoid enemies while you trigger Earthquake as much as possible to melt away enemy health. While other Uniques like Mantle of Mountain's Fury can help support this build, Chainscourged Mail is all it takes to overwhelm LeapQuake Barbarians.
