This will make each death less of a waste when the next run almost guarantees that players will do better. The art style, story, characters, and smooth combat system all make it the roguelike to beat all roguelikes. Supergiant Games is a studio that doesn't miss out, and that in itself is a miracle.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild it's been blowing my mind for about ten years now and it still feels like a game that came out yesterday. This may be because the Switch 2 has had a recent update to make it almost like a brand new experience, but regardless of the system it's on, players will have a good time.
The freedom they gain is second to none, with tons to see and even more ways to experience the world, whether on horseback, on foot, gliding over mountains or climbing them. This open nature is what makes it one of the better ones Zelda games that can be recommended for players new to the series, even with difficulty peaks.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is one modern JRPG that everyone should try, mixing a fantasy world with modern horror. As well as other experiences from Persona the Atlus team's progression is linear. There's only so much players can do each day, from traveling to diving underground to hanging out with party members.
Even if freedom is lost, this approach will help players bond more with their party and create an unbreakable bond that most RPG experiences fail to achieve as a whole. The turn-based, class-based RPG system is also excellent, along with the ability to fight some real-time battles. It's a mix of new and old, and while it takes a while to get going, players will never want it to end.
