Monk players, our time came. Dungeons & Dragons have always offered a number of classes, but the monks have always been a little shaded. However, the 2024 player has improved this class, making it one of the strongest decisions that the game offers, in fact.

Dungeons & Dragons: Every Official Monk subclass, rated
The monks are great if you want to play a quick character Melee in Dungeons & Dragons – let's look at the best subclass.
So if you are thinking about creating a new monk for another adventure, an important detail in the character creation process is to determine the kind of your character. Among the updated species in the book and the old options that still last, there are many interesting ways that your monk can become the force to count on.

Human
The second power will never hurt
- Source: 2024 Player Guide
There is a great original performance from which you can choose from and stacking on your character is useful. You may be lucky that you can re -introduce yourself to guarantee success; Give your Mnik an amazing taverne sphere that matches the classroom, or gives them hard power, so they are not so growling and so on.
Therefore, for your character to be a person who allows you to choose two of them directly on the first level, is therefore a massive support. And you get a guaranteed heroic inspiration every long rest, which is a nice bonus that will complete it all.

Halfling
I can't stop, won't stop
- Source: 2024 Player Guide
Halflings are general, but they work for any class. You have the advantage of dealing with a frightened state and at any time you turn natural, you can re -death and get something better – unless you get another natural; Just buy another to die if it happens twice in a row.
They can also hide behind larger creatures (you are small, so your party counts) and you can go through the creatures OO one size larger than you or more. This means that people cannot prevent you from moving and you can use allies as a cover if necessary.

Goliath
Kick them when they are down
- Source: 2024 Player Guide
Goliaths are ideal for Melee characters. You start with 35 feet (10.5 m), which accumulates with your next movement from the class. You will be able to wear more and increase, which usually compensates for lack of force, but therefore we do not recommend them.
The fun part is your giant predecessor whose effect depends on the soil you get. Of all the options, we recommend either cloud giants, so you can teleport or Hill Giants, allowing you to susceptible if you hit them. And given how many times you can hit people like a monk, they are devastating to them.

Drow
Or any Elf, really
- Source: 2024 Player Guide
Given how congenital spells now work, all kinds that share such a possibility are tempting. You can get the magic that the elves have and occupy them with wisdom, the score you really use, which means that spells have a better chance of work.

These magic objects of D&D were almost made for monks.
We choose axes, because among their magic is the fire of faeria, which allows you to hit more people in favor. This means that the wooden elves are tempting for more secret buildings due to free passage without a trace and highly elves are tempting due to a fog. It is up to you which magic is worth it for your character.

ABOUTSAL TIEFLING
Or any other taifling
- Source: 2024 Player Guide
Tieflings follow the same logic as elves: free spells that you can use with wisdom. However, they have resistance to certain types of damage depending on your line, which is useful for a gloomy class such as monks. In particular, promotional documents, especially with the resistance to poison and a person of magic, which can be in the fight by changing the game.
Yet other tieflings may be interested if you think their resistances or spells are worth trouble. You can also go with the old tiefling variant by Adventurer Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide to have wings that are amazing for monks as we will discuss later.
5
Dwarf
Fight like TOPH
- Source: 2024 Player Guide
Dwarves no longer have any harm to their speed – which has never matured for monks, but yet. They also gain resistance to Pois and other level intervention, a function that has been exclusive only for Hill dwarfs, which means that you can cope with low intervention, especially if you combine it with hard.
You also have the ability to get shivers for a while, allowing you to find people on the ground if the earth is made of stone. You can use it to keep up with enemies who are often hiding or walking invisible, or even bypass situations where you are blinded.
4
Duergar
Under-dwarf
- Source: MONSTRA MULBIVERSE
While the book 2024 does not have lines for dwarves, you can still use older sources if they benefit from you, and an interesting selection is Duergar. They come with free spells by magnification/lowering and invisibility, so one can use one to increase size and damage and the other for the secret segments.
They also receive resistance to poison, better darkness than most others, and an advantage over enchantment or threat, both are particularly unpleasant conditions.
3
Tabax
I have to go fast
- Source: MONSTRA MULBIVERSE
If you want to be the fastest, you have it. Tabaxis gets its own type of unarmed strikes and climbing speeds, two things that of course will cause wet methods. Yet they receive free perception and secrecy, Darkvision and more importantly, cat agility.

Here are some tips and tricks for efficient roleplay and aligning your characters in D&D.
With cat agility you can double speed during a curve. MONK at a high level can run 60 feet (18 m) by default and add another 60 feet by combining AO 60 feet by their actions, denying their bonus action. By doubled, you can move 360 feet (110 m) on one move just for fun.
2
Bugbear
Fighting Melee remotely
- Source: MONSTRA MULBIVERSE
Bugbears get many fun things like secret secrecy, the ability to push tight spaces and bonus damage against people who shouldn't turn, making them an effective warrior shadow. They are also resistant to enchanted state and can carry more weight than most others.
However, the fun part is a long limb, which allows them to carry out five -foot melee attacks further than most others, which means that you can hit the enemies close to the closest without getting into their range if they are also melee. You can also stack it with an elemental tuning from a monk's warrior, which means that you can hit people who are 15 feet (4.5 m) from you Melee.

Villa
Or anything with wings
- Source: MONSTRA MULBIVERSE
Any type of flight speed is fun here because it combines with your absurd speed. So Aarakokras, Owliny or Winged Taiflings are great opportunities, as well as species with a limited flight time, such as Aasimar and Dragonborn, just in case your DM does not allow you to get a species with permanent flight.
Yet we recommend fairies because they are Fey, which means they are immune to magic that only affects humanoids, and have two fun spells that already obscure: enlarge/reduce and fire that you can occupy your wisdom.
