As Arknights: Endfield gets more updates and adds more characters to the roster, you'll constantly see different DPS units coming in and out of the meta. One thing that remains constant, however, is the requirement for core support units in every team, and Xaihi is the best example of that.
Xaihi is a five-star character that uses an art unit as a weapon. It excels at applying Cryo Infliction to enemies, healing your characters and increasing their Cryo DMG. Once you build it with the right weapons and gear, it will give you a significant increase in overall damage.
The best Xaihi weapons and essences
As a support unit, Xaihi can use a wide variety of six-star and five-star weapons to match her kit. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any great four-star weapons in the game. Chivalric Virtues is a six-star weapon that will give you the highest value on Xaihi, but here are all your other options:

While Xaihi uses both Cryo and Nature Amp with her Ultimate, she still fits into Cryo DPS teams for the most part as there is currently no overlit Nature DPS unit in play. Her best team includes Yvonne, Gilberta and Estella as you can use this against both single target enemies and AoE fights.
However, since Yvonne is a limited character, not everyone will have access to her. In those cases, a Last Rite like her can be a pretty good substitute arguably the best nuke damage character in the game. For this team, fluorite can help you get more cryo damage since Last Rite needs at least three of them.
On both teams, you'd want to use Cryo Infliction with Estella before you trigger Xaihi's combo skill.
Xaihi Capability Overview and Upgrade Priority
Like every other character in Arknights: Endfield, Xaihi's abilities are pretty easy to understand for the most part, and here's what you need to know about her:

After activating his skill, Xaihi will create a helper crystal that follows the active character. After launching the final strike with this character, he will heal them and also launch his combo skill, which can apply Cryo Infliction to the target enemy.

If the active character is already at max HP, Xaihi will give her Arts Amp instead. She too provides Cryo and Nature Amp to the entire team with her Ultimate.

The main reason you'd want Xaihi to be the second to use Cryo Infliction is because she can increase Cryo DMG taken by enemy for five seconds when this happens.
When upgrading Xaihi's abilities, you would want to target her Ultimate first to get increased Ampfollowed by her ability to heal. Then you can buff her combo skills and basic attack a bit, although you don't have to go all out.
