Based on Hasbro's recent Q3 2025 financial results Magic: The Gathering contributed massively to the growth of the brand, especially by selling the Edge of Eternities set. While this is great news for in-multiverse sets, considering the concerns of Universes Beyond taking over, Magic: The Gathering also has great success with crossovers. Not all players are happy with this direction, and it's something that may show over the next few years, but the train for MTG collabs is on track to bring another crossover with one of the most viral IPs of the year.
WITH Magic: The GatheringThe Avatar set wraps up the year in November, and with 2026 already packed to the brim with releases, it's likely that this new crossover will come in a different form – in the form of a Secret Lair and/or a Commander pack. That's because Netflix and Hasbro recently shared their collaboration for Demon Hunters KPop toys and other products, the first being the Monopoly Deal: Demon Hunters KPop. No explicit mention MTG was created, but given Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro's approach, it's basically warranted for several reasons:
-
Hasbro and Mattel are licensees for the toys Demon Hunters KPopwith Mattel overseeing the production of action figures, dolls and more, while Hasbro will offer “new ways to engage through play.”
-
Hasbro's press release specifically states that the company will “leverage the strength of its iconic portfolio—including HASBRO GAMES, WIZARDS OF THE COAST, NERF, and FURBY—to introduce a series of engaging collaborations designed to delight fans of all ages,” which could mean MTG or DnD products for mentioning Wizards of the Coast.
- Magic: The GatheringCrossover Furby, like Play-Doh, reinforces the idea that Hasbro will use its IPs or licenses to make new cards, so Demon Hunters KPop fits the bill for the secret lair drop.
- Demon Hunters KPop” HUNTR/X and other characters could fit into a secret lair dedicated to each of them, the main trio as a whole, the antagonists, or even a command pack containing all of these options.
With all of that said, it seems like the only logical course of action for Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast to make KPop Demon Hunters themed MTG products.

MTG x KPop Demon Hunters is more a matter of when than if
Reason an MTG The Secret Lair drop is perfect for this type of collaboration because it allows Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast to work on it with more urgency as opposed to a full set or multiple Commander products. The film also isn't as expansive in terms of lore and characters to justify larger crossovers like the upcoming Avatar set in November.
With the idea that a Demon Hunters KPop cooperate with MTG is inevitable after Hasbro's recent announcement, it's worth noting that it will likely happen sooner rather than later to match the viral phenomenon that was the Netflix movie. Nothing has been officially announced yet, but with the collaboration between Netflix and Hasbro just going public, it seems reasonable to expect possible news in early 2026. MTGThe PlayStation Secret Lair Superdrop is almost here, so fans will have to wait.
