Fanta has officially launched its promotion with World of Warcraft, Diablo 4, Call of Duty, Forza Horizon 6and Halo: Campaign Evolvedcontaining a limited number of in-game items that players can collect for free. This is the latest in a series of collaborations for World of Warcraft in particular, which received a number of promotions to celebrate the release Midnight extension.
Recently, Xbox announced a partnership with Fanta to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Although details on what this promotion would include were scarce, most players assumed that they would be able to earn in-game rewards for various Xbox titles by purchasing Fanta products, similar to the past promotion with Mountain Dew.

The Fanta and Xbox promotion has now officially started and fans can participate without buying anything. From April 1 to July 30, 2026, players can go to Fanta's promotional website, play a quick mini-game and unlock an item for World of Warcraft, Call of Duty Warzone and Black Ops 7or Diablo 4. Alternatively, players can get goodies for Forza Horizon 6 or Halo: Campaign Evolved after starting them. The minigame can only be completed on mobile platforms; going to the website on PC prompts players to scan their device using a QR code. Players can repeat this in the following weeks during the 17-week promotion to get another reward from the list.

That means there's a big asterisk attached to this promotion: Only a limited number of these in-game items are available each week. According to the rules on the Fanta x Xbox promotion site, most games have exactly 113,058 copies of each item to give away each week. Call of Dutywhich splits this number between business cards and experience bonus. However, World of Warcraft rewards are significantly more limited; there are only 2,392 of each reward available each week, meaning only about 40,000 fans will be able to claim each individual item.
On the one hand, this collaboration is much better than some other previous Xbox events. It's not region locked, lasts a few months, and doesn't require any purchase to participate. Additionally, the fact that Fanta connects directly to Battle.net and other user accounts to distribute rewards means that scalpers should not be able to get extras.
However, the limited reward offering is a huge detriment to this promotion, especially for World of Warcraft players. It is not clear why these rewards are being limited, but it has left a sour taste in the mouths of many. Fortunately, Blizzard stated that many limited-time promotional items, such as the coveted Hateforged Blazecycle from WoW x Mountain Dew promotion, will be available through other means. Hopefully that will extend to this collaboration as well.
