Run The Magic Of The Ancients Quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguardplayers must reach the Jagged Ruins, northwest of Arlathan Forest. Repair the Tattered Bridge or walk around it to get to it easily. Examining the artifact inside the Jagged Ruins will automatically start the Quest.

Having Bellara on the team can be useful as she can mess with messed up artifacts, or players can simply use Solas' Lyrium Dagger. Additionally, it seems to respond to some scattered notes within.

How to repair an artifact in Jagged Ruins – The Magic Of The Ancients Quest

To repair an artifact in Jagged Ruins, players need it tinker with the three crystals attached to it.

Crystal #1

To repair the first crystal and charge the artifact, players must:

• Jump to the platform west of the artifact.
• Follow the path on the road.
• After reaching the stairs, go east.
• Go to the end of the road.
• Use Bellara to repair the crystal.
• Read the note.

Crystal #2

From the previous placement in Dragon Age: The Veilguardreturn to the stairs and climb them all the way up, then:

• Go to the statue with the flashing energy node.
• Use Bellara to play around with it.
• Go to the Zipline.
• Use it to get to the other side.
• Go towards the crates.
• Attach the crystal next to it.
• Read the note.

Crystal #3

Then march to the beam generator and connect it to the previously fixed energy node. Doing so will create a ladder from the location of the node Dragon Age: The Veilguard towards the third Crystal location. To achieve this:

• Jump across three platforms.
• Jump down onto the boulder with the small chest.
• Open the chest.
• Jump down the stairs.
• Climb all the way up the stairs.
• Use the bridge to reach the third crystal.
• Play around with Bellara's ability or Solas' Lyrium Dagger.
• Read the note.
• Collect the Momento Promise of Glory and the treasure chest.

Next, players must climb down to the location of the artifact, then play with it to complete The Magic Of The Ancients Quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
