Konami has just released the version 2.0.0 update for the console versions Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1brings several new features such as improved resolution and 4K support. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 was first released in October 2023 as a compilation pack of the first three Metal Gear Solid games along with Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. However, the collection is not without its problems, as its players have reported.
Some of these issues include graphical inconsistencies, various bugs, and a lack of control configuration options, among others. However, Konami updated the game with various post-release patches to address these issues. First big patch for Metal Gear Solid: Master CollectionVersion 1.5.0, was released for all versions in March 2024, which fixed certain things such as unresponsive controls and a bug that crashed the game in certain cutscenes. The second major update, version 2.0.0, was announced in September and later released on Steam, adding a number of features revolving around its visuals, with plans to release the update to other consoles at a later date. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Version 2.0.0 is now available on all platforms.

One of the developers on Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater comments on the remake's fidelity to the original game.
The latest edition brings Metal Gear Solid: Master CollectionVersion 2.0.0 update for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch versions of the game. Konami also released graphics regarding the new features and the platform that will support them as well. Version 2.0.0 adds resolution settings, improved visuals, and controller settings for most of these platforms with a maximum internal upscaling of 4K depending on the console.
These settings mainly apply to Sons of Liberty and Snake Eaterwhile screen settings will be added to their option menus. Certain textures have been tweaked to make some aspects more readable using these tweaked visual modes. Controller settings allow players to map their controls as they see fit. It should be noted that the screen settings cannot be applied to the Nintendo Switch version as it is not capable of supporting 4K resolution. A full list of differences between the normal and modified resolution versions has been posted on Konami's website.
Konami confirmed this at the beginning of this September Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 he is at work. However, the publisher notes that it will be a while before any movement can be made on that front, as it lacks a proper “starting point” to base the second installment on. Metal Gear series producer Noriaki Okamura also stated that he wanted a second volume to be released to avoid the same problems as Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 had during the start.
