But as the season went on, the story finally took shape. It is clear that the Culling Game, its purpose and why it should be stopped.
Season 3 Episode 7 finally saw Itadori and Megumi enter one of the colonies. It's only a matter of time before some big event happens. The following characters will probably have the biggest impact in the upcoming episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Why Season 3 Will Have the Biggest Fights Yet
How is Jujutsu Kaisen trying to be bigger than the Shibuya incident? Of course, there is only a huge battle royale going on all over the country.
Hajime Kashimo
The final scene of Season 3 Episode 6 introduced fans to Hajime Kashimo. He has already killed 40 players, giving him a total of 200 points. He also used 100 of those points to add a new rule to the game that allows players to see information about other participating players. That alone makes him someone for Itadori and others to watch out for.

But the most interesting thing about Kashima is that he is a reincarnated wizard. He claimed that everyone he had fought so far was too weak and the opponents were stronger 400 years ago. He also seeks out Sukuna, suggesting that he not only has a history with the Curse King, but also eventually crosses paths with Itadori and Sukuna.

Hiromi Higuruma
Being the only player besides Kashimo with 100 or more points made him the next target for Itadori and Megumi. If they can make Higuruma an ally, they can use his points to add life-saving rules to the game. As stated in Season 3 Episode 7, Megumi and Itadori aim to safely eliminate Tsumiki from the game, which will require Higurumu's points.
But knowing that Higuruma has already killed at least 20 people, it is unlikely that he would seek a peaceful path. The immediate future of the anime rests largely on Higuruma's decision.
Maki Zen'in
Maki has been a major recurring character since the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen. Previously, we only saw her supporting others from the side. But with the arrival of the new season, she found more strength and purpose. In her quest to retrieve the cursed weapons from the zen'in vault, she faced her father and lost. But Maia's sacrifice brought her back with unmatched physical strength and an iconic weapon.
In a single episode, she ended the powerful Zen'in family and participates in the Culling Game. Using Dragon-Bone and Split Soul Katana, she should noticeably affect the upcoming fights.
Kinji Hakari
During their discussion inside the Star Tomb, Okkotsu and Maki stressed the importance of recruiting Kinji Hakari. Initially hesitant, Hakari changes his mind due to Itadori's persistence. He now volunteers to participate in the Culling Game to help Itadori and the others. Although not much is known about his abilities, he put on quite a show of strength against Itadori. Okkotsu also suggested that Hakari could surpass him in strength.
Yuta Okkotsu
When talking about important characters, it's hard not to mention Yuta. At first his return scared the fans as he set out to kill Itadori. But it was just a show; he works alongside Itadori and others to stop Kenjak. As mentioned in Season 3 Episode 3, Okkotsu has already engaged in the Culling Game to gain information before Tsumiki and the others enter the colony. He is currently acting on his own, but sooner or later we will see him in action again.
Yuta, one of only four special class wizards, assures that he will play a key role in the overall outcome of the ongoing arc. He is currently the strongest of Itadori's allies.
Megumi Fushiguro
Like the others, Megumi tries to stop Kenjaku's plans that threaten the jujutsu society. But the ongoing arc is especially important to Megumi as she also actively tries to protect her sister Tsumiki from the Culling Game. He had already been instrumental in convincing Hakari to join them, and now he entered the colony along with Itadori.
At the end of episode 7, Itadori and Megumi were led to different places in search of Higuruma. One likely lie, Megumi could soon be fighting for his life.

Yuji Itadori
It's no surprise that the main character in anime is one of the most important characters right now. Once engaged in the Culling Game, he was challenged by Hanyu and Haba, which he won convincingly. But just like Megumi, he can walk into a trap while searching for Higuruma. Being Sukuna's vessel could also make him a target for reincarnated wizards like Hajime Kashimo.
Hana Kurusu
Arguably the most important objective in the Culling Game for Itadori and his companions is to find the Angel. In Season 3, Episode 3, Master Tengen mentioned that among the players involved was a 1000-year-old wizard capable of extinguishing other cursed techniques named “Angel”. Angel's cursed technique allows her to open the Back of the Prison Realm and free Satoru Gojo.
Although the anime displayed Angel's name to the audience, this information is still unknown to the characters. Finding her will be the most important step in this ongoing arc.
Kenjak
The current primary antagonist and creator of the Culling Game holds an important role in the current arc. He is responsible for sealing Satoru Gojo and will continue to rely on any means necessary to accomplish his mission. He currently plans to use the Culling Game as a means to assimilate the Japanese population into Master Tengen and begin the evolution of humanity.
He is also responsible for resurrecting various wizards centuries ago by making contracts with them in the past. If Itadori and the others find a way to stop the killing game, Kenjaku must show up to stop it. He also has a connection to Sukuna, making him a constant threat.
Satoru Gojo
Considered to be the strongest wizard in the anime, Gojo holds unparalleled importance even after being sealed away. Although it is unlikely that he will appear directly in the anime anytime soon, the main focus of the story will be the heroes' efforts to bring him back. He predicted his disappearance and arranged for Itadori and the others to entrust Yuto's care. Once he returns, he will once again be on the front lines of everyone's defense against the likes of Kenjaku and Sukuna.
