His many sacrifices cannot be overstated, but nothing compares to when an imitative individual sacrificed not only his life, but also his freedom. The moment Bon Clay was shown impersonating Magellan to help Luffy escape will forever be remembered as it was both tear-jerking and heart-wrenching.

After Nekomamushi and Inuarashi, Pedro could also be the next Mink leader. However, Pedro believed in Monkey D. Luffy, an individual with so much potential, and did not hesitate to sacrifice his life for his beliefs.
Dying for someone else is incredibly heroic, but willingly blowing yourself up makes the act and effect that much more spectacular and moving. In the short time Pedro got to know Luffy, he became incredibly loyal to him and showed this loyalty without much pain or remorse. He willingly laid down his life, a feat that some members of Luffy's crew may not be able to accomplish.

The Princess of Alabasta Kingdom has been through a lot with the Straw Hats. To defeat the Crocodile and free her country, Vivi fought alongside the Straw Hats and allied with them, becoming a relative of the crew member. After the defeat of the Crocodile, it was time for the pirate crew to leave Alabasta, and whether they would leave with Vivi became a huge decision.
Although it was a difficult decision, Vivi decided to stay back in the end. In this way, she stayed true to her country and shouldered the burden of citizens who needed to rebuild rather than live a free life as a pirate.

During these years, Brook gained huge stardom as the Soul King, a rock star. However, rather than continue to bask in the fame and money, Brook gave it all up for a crew he had only been a part of for a few months.
