Key things
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard's most popular romances have been revealed, with Neve Gallus topping the list.
- Lucanis is unsurprisingly second while Taash is third.
- Davrin and Emmrich are the least popular romance options in the game, so maybe give them more love if you find yourself on a second playthrough.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a pretty good game, full of satisfying combat encounters and deep dives into the lore, but the one thing on every Dragon Age fan's mind before release was who they were going to mess with. The romances were so highly anticipated that people even chose which party members they wanted to lock lips with before launching the game.
Now that it's out and everyone's had time to get to know a few members of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, we can see which characters captured the hearts of gamers the most and which ones were left without a prom date. BioWare posted some cool stats on the game's official Discord server, and it turns out that Neve was the character that players wanted to root for the most.
Neve Is Dragon Age: The Veilguard's Most Popular Romance
Neve's popularity isn't too surprising considering she's probably the most common female character in the group. In games like Baldur's Gate 3 and Shadowheart, we've seen that conventionally attractive female characters are usually the most popular romance options, while a conventionally attractive male character in Lucanis is just behind Neve in the poll.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard has more than a little in common with God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Zero Dawn.
Taash takes the bronze medal while Harding narrowly misses out on the podium in fourth place. Bellara is quite surprisingly in fifth place, while Davrin and Emmrich come from behind in sixth and seventh, which is also a little surprising given how many people wanted to jump the old man a bone before the game even launched.
If you're yet to dive into Dragon Age: The Veilguard to see what these romances are all about, you'll be pleased to learn that BioWare recently released the game's character creator as a standalone download that you can try out for free. This gives you plenty of time to get your tower looking exactly how you want before you play the full game and most likely romance Neve.
