Pokemon is eternal, and its trading card game, aptly named Pokemon TCG, remains as alive as its video games. Extensions come and go, bask in the spotlight before fading, but never forgotten.
Age does wonders for the value of many expansions, as the prices of individual wanted cards can skyrocket over the years. Still, in the case of Shining Fates, many cards fluctuated in value, with some finally finding their form and rising in price.

Dreepy (Shiny Holo Rare) – $4.71
Dreepy hasn't always gotten the attention it deserves, as some of Galarian's beginner Pokemon have stolen the spotlight from this prime pseudo-legendary Pokemon. While it's unlikely to be in contention among Shining Fates' most valuable chase cards, it's hard to predict where this card's trajectory will take it.

Prismatic Evolutions is one of the most expensive and famous Pokemon sets ever.
Many of the Shiny Holo Rare 'baby shinies' have fluctuated wildly in price, leaving room for newcomers like Dreepy to enter the conversation as they continue to climb towards the all-important five dollar mark.

Cinderace (Shiny Holo Rare) – $4.95
Cinderace rises into contention as one of the best Shining Fates chasers and stands out as one of the few starting evolution baby shinies in the set. Cinderace's massive popularity is finally enough to make it one of Shining Fates' most sought after cards, but its value is still relatively tame compared to the other cards in the set.
The simple background is perfect for Cinderace's complex color palette and provides plenty of white space for Cinderace's gray, orange and burnt brown accents.

Eternatus V (Shiny Holo Rare) – $5.00
Eternatus is easily one of the most recognizable Pokémon in Shining Fates, and its association with the set has only grown over time. While there's another Shining Fates chase card with this powerful Legendary Pokemon, it doesn't have the same value advantage it once did as Eternatus V climbs the ladder.
This card was once forgotten in the top 20, but as the set ages, the cream rises to the top and this version of Eternatus is gaining more recognition than ever before.

Koffing (Shiny Holo Rare) – $5.03
Koffing is another of the plethora of Shiny Pokemon available in Shining Fates, with this green, gas Pokemon claiming a place among the most valuable Shining Fates cards.
However, this Koffing – and many others the best cards in Shining Fates – only a few pennies separate them, This makes for an extremely exciting race for the most valuable chase card in Shining Fates.

Ditto V (Shiny Holo Rare) – $5.32
Ditto Vaults made it to the top 20 most valuable cards in the Shining Fates hunt thanks in large part to this Pokemon's recent meteoric rise.
With many of Ditto's best cards on the rise, it's no surprise that this bright blue version of the iconic pink blob is turning heads. While its price is still relatively modest, this card continues to grow, suggesting that it may become even more expensive if the trajectory holds.

Alcremia VMAX (Secret Rare) – $5.33
Alcremie surprisingly makes its way into the most expensive Shining Fates cards alongside Pokemon like Koffing. Most Pokemon are separated by the slimmest of margins, with those following also boasting small leads over each other.
While some of the most valuable cards in modern sets, such as Ascended Heroes, feature a collection of valuable special illustrations, Shining Fates primarily boasts shiny Pokemon, making Alcremia's placement a bit unusual. While this card may immediately fall out of the top spots, Alcremie boasts a beautiful secret palette of rare colors.

Cinccino (Shiny Holo Rare) – $5.55
Cinccino's Shiny Holo Rare climbs above the five dollar mark with one of the simplest yet sweetest depictions of any Pokémon in Shining Fates. If you like cute Pokemon, then this card is perfect for you.
Shiny Pokemon is easily one of the most iconic chase cards in Shining Fates – and in any “Fates” set – so pairing this card with this specific set gives Cinccina a price boost that she wouldn't normally see the other times she appears in her non-shiny form.

Applin (Shiny Holo Rare) – $5.60
Applin stood out as one of the most underrated in Shining Fates, but with his recent rise, his value is finally starting to reflect the cute appeal of this card.
Applin's evolutions definitely gained a lot more popularity in the Scarlet & Violet era, with several Illustration Rares offering more detailed scenes to fully appreciate their designs. While there isn't a lot of color contrast on this card, its design still stands out, making it one of the most eye-catching cards in Shining Fates.

Like its evolution, Cinccino, Minccino offers the perfect combination of rarity and cuteness, catapulting it into the discussion as one of the most valuable cards in the Shining Fates chase.
While fully evolved Pokémon are usually stronger, strength is not a determining factor for pricing in the Pokémon TCG, as popularity and visual appeal more often than not win out over other factors when determining a card's price.

While the Eternatus VMAX took the place between them most valuable Shining Fates cards, he doesn't seem primed to win many beauty contests, as Eternatus' complex body offers a confusing canvas for a mostly black color palette.
If you like Eternatus then this card should appeal to you, even if the art doesn't make it easy to appreciate the finer details of this Pokemon.
Eternatus is another card currently riding the wave in Shining Fates, with many of the best cards leveled since release. However, these moments can be fleeting, so don't put too much stock in where each card currently sits.
