With release Borderlands 4 in September, players had a constant stream of SHiFT codes to claim. These can be exchanged for things like golden keys, which are used to unlock golden chests, and special cosmetics. While players are enjoying the holidays, the developer has given another gift to the community.

Before the new year, players can get three Golden Keys using the following SHiFT code: 396J3-6ZJ9J-KRJTW-TJ3BT-XK5H9. This new code was released as part of Borderlands 412 Days of Mercenary Day promotion and could come in handy for those looking to grab some more rare loot in the game. However, players should not delay as the code will expire on December 31st. There are only a few days left to take advantage of the promotion.
Fortunately, redeeming SHiFT codes v Borderlands 4 is a relatively easy process. Players can visit the official SHiFT website and log in to their SHiFT account or create a new one if it doesn't already exist. They should then check that their SHiFT account is linked to the corresponding gaming platform. Once done, players need to go to the “Rewards” section where the code can be entered in the space under the “Redeem Code” heading. Borderlands 4 has more content in 2026
While new SHiFT codes and holiday activities help encourage players to return to the game, the development team has more in store for 2026. Specifically, several Story Packs are planned, with the first coming in Q1 and featuring C4SH, the new Vault Hunter pro Borderlands 4. In addition, new Bounty Packs and Invincible bosses are expected to be added according to the developers' schedule. It will be interesting to see if these future plans for the game can increase the number of players that has dropped significantly since release.
