Dungeons and Dragons At the end of 2024, she released the new player's handbook to introduce new players to the popular board gaming and add ways for existing fans to enjoy the game. Updated version Dungeons and Dragons The manual contains 12 classes and 48 subclass, each class having exactly four subclass. This is quite different from the previous editions of the game, where the number of subclass varies and can make the release of future books and other additional materials complicated if the publisher Wizards of the Coast wishes to maintain balanced subclass figures.

Origins Dungeons and Dragons's characters is a double sword
The backgrounds and species of Dragons and Dragons were revised in the form of origin of character in revision 2024, which comes with some advantages and disadvantages.
Player Guide 2024 includes old and new subclass
The latest edition of the manual includes twelve classes, while the Artificer class is missing. This class goes through Playtests, suggesting that the updated version will be released in the future. Each class in 2024 PHB has exactly four subclaims. Some, such as the mysterious fraudster Rogue, the College of Lore Bard or the oath of devoted paladin, are classic favorite ones that exist for a long time. Others are newly added, including:
-
Way of the World Tree (Barbar)
-
College of Dance (bard)
-
CIRCLE OF THE SEA (DRAID)
Other subclass included in previous editions Dungeons and Dragons Missing in a new manual, especially in the case of classes that had a large number. These include Clerics, which previously had many domains to choose from, and magicians who could specialize in many different magic schools.
Some of the missing subclass are quite surprising because of their popularity. These include Swashbuckler Rogue, Storm Shocorer, The Tempest Domain Cleric and many schools for a magician. Fans were particularly disappointed with several cut subcorders because of their appearance in another Dungeons and Dragons-neighboring materials such as popular RPG Baldur's Gate 3. However, it is important to realize that subclays absent in the new player's manual are not strictly removed from the game; their original fifth edition Dungeons and Dragons Versions can work with updated rules.
Even subclass numbers can complicate future editions
More updated Dungeons and Dragons Books and other additional materials will be published on the player's handbook. As it happened in previous editions of role playing, new subclass for existing classes is likely to be introduced. They could include the previous existing skipped in the 2024 player and also brand new additions to the game. It is also likely that the thirteenth class, Artificer will appear in these materials, because it has previously appeared in an additional book during the release of the fifth edition.
The updated PHB leaves fans to wonder if the coast guides will continue to insist on the same number of subclass as soon as additional materials are released. This was not the case in previous editions – Xanathar guide to everything and Tash's boiler of all He gave at least one new subclass each class, but did not even leave the numbers. Books specific to set up, for example Guildmasters guide after ravnice and Mythical Odysseys of Theros, The numbers further distorted by adding a small number of subclass relevant to the specific settings he described.
It remains to find out whether “all classes must have the same number of subclass” will remain in place when future Dungeons and Dragons Materials are published or re -released. If this is the case, it could be a more complicated release of new books. Class like Wizard and Cleric would probably be most affected, but this path could see several previously existing subclass ignored or many new classes created by the need to maintain even numbers. More will be known in the future Dungeons and Dragons Books see publications.
