The old peace brings a flood of players, resulting in server problems

Warframe is still going strong despite being a 12 year old game. It's not just because of Digital Extremes' commitment to adding new content, but also because of the massive community that keeps the game going. In case you were in any doubt, the game has just seen a massive increase in players due to the recent The Old Peace update.

The game hit a 24-hour peak of 175,546 when the update went live yesterday, the highest since July 2021. While it's normal for players to spike with new updates, warframe doesn't usually see spikes like that unless it's around TennoCon, where they're usually free to have. The increase also led to many players reporting server issues.

Warframe players hoping to check out the new update have complained of server issues, particularly related to the in-game chat feature. It seems that Digital Extremes underestimated how many players will join or return to Warframe for the new update. To make matters worse, most players in the US still haven't even woken up. Hopefully the developers are preparing for this.

The Old Peace will take you to the Tau battlefield where you will have to face the Orokins and Senients. The update also brings new characters, locations, missions, game modes and of course weapons. The best part is that it's just the basis for a bigger update revolving around the Tau coming in 2026.

Of course, a new update means a new Warframe. Uriel is the 63rd warframe to be added to the game and brings fire and ash. His Infernalis ability gives you a fiery aura, dealing heat damage and a status effect to nearby enemies. It also allows you to float like a meteor. Remedium Allows you to heal yourself and your demons, while Demonium sends demons to seek out enemies. Brimstone creates a circle of fire that deals more damage with each hit.
