Ice-type Pokemon have never benefited from the same variety as other types, but Pokemon Legends: ZA manages to pack them into the game, especially in the Mega Dimension DLC. While the base game offered a decent selection of Ice types, the Mega Dimension DLC shook up the Ice type meta with new Pokémon and harder challenges to overcome.
Rogue Mega Pokemon are the main enemies you'll face in Mega Dimension, and you'll need some powerful Mega Evolutions on your team to defeat them. Focus on adding these Pokémon to your team first and you'll be ready for any challenge that is weak to ice.
Some Ice-type Pokémon from the base game are included, but the Pokémon are ordered based on their viability in the context of the Mega Dimension DLC.

Once you catch Galarian Mr. Mime, you'll need to evolve it to be useful ASAP, as Mr. Rime's Base Stat Total (BST) pushes it into the realm of usability. There is no way to spin this Pokemon's BST as anything other than a Specially Focused Pokemon, with mid totals across all other stats.
Pokemon Legends: ZA – Mega Dimension: How to get Runerigus
Who comes up with these evolutionary requirements?
Despite the limited number of Ice-type moves you've learned through leveling up, TMs are your best friend for Mr. Rime's viability, with access to Ice Beam and Blizzard being the biggest boost to this Pokémon's special power on offense. Mr. Unfortunately, Rime is easily replaced by other, more powerful options, but it's the unusual design that keeps things fresh at the start of your journey through the Mega Dimension DLC.

Aurorus gains a slight edge over Mr. Rime thanks to its availability from the moment you step into Hyperspace Lumiose, as this Pokemon is one of the first Pokemon you can catch in these wild zones. You can even have one of these Pokémon already leveled up from the base game, making it a great option to include in DLC to tank hits and get into the swing of things.
While his total stats are only slightly higher than Mr. Rime, Aurorus offers a tank option that can take damage and defeat ice-weak Pokémon in a pinch. However, the lack of Mega Evolution is the main drawback that prevents Aurorus from being useful even after the initial DLC stages.

Vanilluxe's BST is slightly higher than Mr. Rime and Aurorus, but his stat spread is much more favorable for quick attacks with physical or special moves. His defense is acceptable for the early stages of the Mega Dimension DLC, and it can take a few hits before he's in danger of being knocked out.
However, you shouldn't push your luck with permanent hits, as this Pokemon prefers to deal them out.
Vanilluxe is another great Pokémon to bring into the early stages of the Mega Evolution DLC, and even if it doesn't benefit from Mega Evolution, you should get decent use out of it in both wild zones and battle zones in Hyperspace Lumiose.

Glaceon is the best Ice-type Pokemon that lacks Mega Evolution, and while its BST is strong enough to gain recognition among its peers, those with Mega forms will be much better in the latter part of the DLC story. Glaceon's 130 special attack, solid defense, and decent move pool should be more than enough to fill your ice gap until you can access better options later.
Glaceon's speed and low HP are his biggest weaknesses, but he can still pack if you focus on teaching him ice special moves like Ice Beam and Blizzard. Even Icy Wind can be used effectively due to its ability to slow down your opponents, bringing their movement frequency closer to Glaceon's slower pace.

The sight of Abomasnow's BST might make you a little nauseous, but don't worry—you'll be more focused on using this Pokémon's Mega Evolution, which improves its spread by 100 total points and includes a massive upgrade to 132 special attacks. The Mega Evolution glow-up is essential to this Pokemon's utility, as it improves its overall power while also making Abomasnow a viable option against Rogue Mega Pokemon.
Unfortunately, Mega Abomasnow's massive BST boost comes at the expense of its speed, which is a measly 30, meaning you'll want to pick your moves carefully and do everything you can to make sure it connects. If you play to Mega Abomasnow's strengths, then this Pokémon will serve you well against vulnerable Rogue Mega Pokémon like Dragonite, which suffers from a quadruple Ice weakness.

If you're looking to add an exceptionally slow but powerful ice-type to your six-man team, then Crabominable offers a slightly stronger option than Mega Abomasnow. When this Pokémon Mega Evolves, its attack soars to an impressive 157 and both of its defenses exceed 100. Despite the massive boost, its speed suffers, dropping from 43 to 33, but that's an acceptable trade-off for the power boost.
Keep in mind that Crabominable focuses on physical attacks, while Abomasnow is more effective with special attacks.
Since this Pokémon won't be attacking often anyway, the speed drop is barely noticeable, but the improved attack and defense stats ensure that Crabominable retains impressive utility.

Froslas may not impress you with its base form, but the Mega Dimension DLC is all about Mega Evolution, which is where this Pokemon shines. Once you Mega Evolve Froslas, you'll be treated to an unprecedented boost to its Special Attack, which jumps to 140 and is also supported by 120 Speed and 100 Special Defense, making this Pokemon an excellent Special Attack and Defense option.
Keep Froslass away from dangerous physical attacks and this Pokémon will flourish and can wipe the floor with any Pokémon with an Ice weakness.

Baxcalibur's BST is already more impressive than any other Ice-type Pokemon, easily outshining most of the Mega Evolutions it competes with. Once Baxcalibur Mega Evolves, its power is unmatched, led by 175 attack and 100 or better in every other stat except for speed, which remains at 87.
This Pokémon is easily one of the most polished Pokémon in the entire game, and has earned its place among its peers at the highest level. If you want an excellent Pokemon that can fill the Dragon and Ice gaps in your team, there's nothing that compares to Baxcalibur's impressive BST and moveset.
