Dragon Age: The Veilguard could still get some class buffs, but a New Game Plus mode is unlikely to happen, a senior BioWare official revealed. This information was shared as part of a recent AMA developer program, which also yielded some additional insights Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
The latest entry in the main line v Dragon Age the series was released for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC on October 31. The action RPG has received several updates since then, the latest of which arrived in the form of Patch 4 on Dragon Age Day, December 4th.

BioWare is revealing some in-game rewards and out-of-game celebrations for Dragon Age: The Veilguard in celebration of Dragon Age Day.
In addition to the early December update, the franchise's 2024 anniversary spurred the team behind it Veilguard to host an AMA on the r/DragonAge subreddit. The resulting fan meeting revealed a lot of new information about the recently released game and BioWare's current plans for it. Among other things Dragon Age: The Veilguard director Corinne Busche stated that the developers are still keeping a close eye on the ARPG's class balance and noted that some tweaks remain on the table for the near future. Any potential changes will be buffs rather than nerfs, the official explained.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard probably won't get NG+ mode
Elsewhere during the AMAs, Busch confirmed some recently voiced fan requests for a New Game Plus mode. At some point in development, BioWare actually considered adding NG+ Dragon Age: The Veilguarddirector, revealed that he ultimately decided against it. Therefore, there are currently no plans to support such a thing, she concluded. This decision is consistent with the way the series has always been designed because no Dragon Age the game offered NG+ mode to date. The fact that all four mainline entries in the franchise have level caps that can easily be reached in a single playthrough has something to do with their historical avoidance of NG+.

The recently concluded AMA also saw Busche discuss the game's telemetry data, which revealed Dragon Age: The VeilguardThe choice between saving Trevisa or Minrathous currently has the player base fairly evenly split. She called that statistic surprising, not least because the entire development team expected Treviso to be a much more popular choice.
Busche also addressed the possibility of increasing the character save limit beyond three slots in the console versions Dragon Age: The Veilguard. She confirmed that this change had previously been explored, but was unlikely to happen due to the limitations of the game's save file architecture, though without elaborating on the matter. A few weeks before the recently concluded AMA, BioWare confirmed that it was not planning one Dragon Age: The Veilguard DLC.
