2025 was a pretty awesome year for anime releases. Completely new series started in the year, such as Takopi's original sinand adaptations of the like Gachiakuta. 2025 also saw the return of many highly anticipated anime, some of which include Solo Leveling Season 2, The Apothecary Diaries Season 2, and My Hero Academia Season 8. It's safe to say that 2025 didn't lack anything in terms of exciting content, but of course the year wasn't perfect either.

One Punch Man is one of the most popular and well-known shonen series around the world. The story follows the adventures of Saitama, who has definitely captured the attention of millions of fans over the years.
While One Punch Man used to be a sensation at one point, he has been lackluster ever since. Season 2 was a huge disappointmentwhich is exactly why fans have been eagerly waiting for his return with season 3 to see what he will be up to.

One of the worst mistakes that fans have pointed out is the accidental gender bending of one of the characters, the Royal Ripper.
To be clear, this is not the fault of the animators or the staff working on it. These problems exist because they were given the impossible task of adapting an anime in a very short time frame and getting a product out when they don't have enough time or resources to do so.

One Punch Man Season 3 beat it with a low score of 4.69. With this score, One Punch Man becomes #14233 best rated series on the entire platformwhich is definitely shameful for its size.
One Punch Man doesn't recover from two huge flops
One Punch Man Season 3 may spell the end of the franchise. This is especially true since One Punch Man Season 3 comes after another disastrous season that dropped back in 2019.
One Punch Man Season 2 was also a terrible adaptation, but many would actually say it was much better than One Punch Man Season 3. Despite all the issues, the previous season still has a 7.53 rating for context.
Unless the One Punch Man staff is given proper time to adapt the manga with real sources instead of crippling them, it's unlikely that the series will ever recover or achieve even a fraction of what it did in its first season in 2015. The second court of the third season is said to be on the way.
