13 – The Legend of Roku // Avatar of Roku
The third red card in the series, The Legend of Roku, is actually a saga. While The Legend of Roku isn't extremely powerful on its own, allowing you to play the top three cards of your library on turn one and add one mana of any color to your pool on turn two, it turns into Avatar of Roku on turn three. This is a 4/4 creature with firebending 4, which means it adds 4 red mana on attack and or 8 generic mana, you can make a 4/4 dragon creature token with flying and firebending 4. This is basically the output for firebending mana in MTGand it can start to grow infinitely the more dragons you create.

12 – The Walls of Ba Sing Se
A popular card prior to the release of Avatar due to combos with MTGPrecon Commander deck for Tarkir: Dragonstorm, Abzan Armor, and other cards that use creature resistance in creative ways, The Walls of Ba Sing Se is actually a powerful mythic rarity. It costs 8 mana for a 0/30 creature with a defender that also makes your other permanents invulnerable, so it can be quite a pain for the opponent. 11 – The Legend of Kyoshi // Avatar Kyoshi
Similar to The Legend of Roku and its Avatar Roku flip side, The Legend of Kyoshi // Avatar Kyoshi is a saga that transforms into a legendary creature in MTG. The former has a powerful, classic effect for green cards, where on the first turn it draws cards equal to the highest power among the creatures you control, and on the second it bends X, where X is the number of cards in your hand. The land selected for earthbending also becomes an Island. Finally, on turn three, she becomes a 5/4 Avatar Kyoshi, giving your lands duplicate and hexproof, and then she can also be tapped to add X mana of one color based on the most power among the creatures you control.

10 – Fire Lord Azula

The main item of the so-called Appa will land in the Avatar's MTG Appa is a popular character from the show. Already after escaping to the meta MTGBarring Vivi Ornitier and other cards on November 10th, Badgermole Cub is proving to be an extremely strong pick in most decks and formats. It can give fetchlands a lot more value by bending them into land, making them come back into play for incredible landfall combos, and it can make mana dorks and land bent lands very effective for an otherworldly mana ramp. Another potential candidate for the best card in the set, and definitely in the top 5, is Wan Shi Tong, the Librarian. This card is simply great to use in a variety of decks and formats due to its flash, flying, and vigilance keywords, as well as the fact that it can act as a draw machine that gets stronger over time if opponents use tutor-like abilities. MTGLibrarians of Wan Shi Tong mostly use it as a kind of stax that can also attack and block easily when it becomes stronger. This is incredibly easy to achieve in formats like Modern and Commander, with the latter even having a turn cycle that spans 4 people, meaning Wan Shi Tong can become a powerhouse if left unattended.
