This summer 2025 Anime has just defeated Sakamoto Days and Dandadan

2025 proved to be a huge year for Anime lovers. Since the beginning of the year with the solo equalizing season 2 to watching the original sin Takopi in the summer of 2025 it was just a phenomenal ride. The beauty of the anime industry is that sometimes the unclear name can overcome more popular, and that is exactly what happened to Tougen Anki.

According to the new Tougen Anki report, he climbed to the top of Netflix graphs in Japan and entered the global TOP 5. This is the main success for this series because both Sakamoto Days and Dandadan have a massive fan.

The popularity of Tougen Anki is on the rise and can become one of the biggest surprises of 2025 if it maintains momentum. Tougen Anki has a solid story and an excellent cast of characters, which are two of the main pillars of any successful anime series.

Anime Tougen Anki adaptation was made by Studio Hibari. It does not have to be as popular as mappa, Madhouse or Pierrot studio, but has created many excellent adaptations. It belongs to:

Elite classroom
Hanako-kun tied to the toilet
Assassination classroom
Danganronpa: Animation

Given the history of the studio, it is hardly surprising that the anime adaptation of Tougen Anki has proved to be so good. Until now, anime has released 4 episodes, and there are still 20 episodes that will be broadcast in two consecutive courses.

Dandadan and Sakamoto Days are also worth watching

Dandadan and Sakamoto Days could have been overtaken by Tougen Anki, but that doesn't mean they're not that popular. Both anime still receive great affection from the audience. In particular, Dandadan was the main hit. Anime built on the success of the first season and really hit him from the park with the latest installment.

However, Sakamoto Days fans had some adaptation complaints, especially those who read mango. He firmly believes that anime does not make manga justice. Although adaptation is not direct, there are some areas where it could improve. TMS Entertainment is more than able to improve the series and move it to the next level. Hopefully, the third season will see the tip in terms of animation quality.
