ARC Raiders players have plenty of ways to customize their character through clothing, accessories, and hairstyles, but one option is still in high demand, with some community members suggesting a unique way to integrate it into the game. Although ARC Raiders is not a free-to-play game like some of its contemporaries, such as Delta Force or Arena Breakoutoffers its players plenty of ways to earn new cosmetics, either through free methods or by spending premium currency to unlock special packs.
While players already have plenty of options when it comes to creating their character, some of the best free methods to unlock even more are already out there ARC RaidersFree Raider Decks. Just by playing matches and performing various actions, players can earn Cred to spend on them, unlocking cosmetics such as a set of goalkeeper armor, raw materials and other cosmetic items. The more Cred you spend in the Raider Deck, the more pages will eventually unlock, leading to even more content. Even better, these Raider decks don't expire, so players don't have to worry about any FOMO elements and can unlock things at their own pace. ARC Raiders may have plenty of customization options that allow players to customize their character, but there's still one feature that fans hope Embark adds sooner rather than later.
ARC Raiders players have serious complaints about the state of the latest map
The latest map condition to be added to ARC Raiders will reignite disappointment among players as the community continues to clamor for a major change.
ARC Raiders offers players a unique way to add a beard
Over to ARC Raiders subreddit, a post by a user named Grip_the_artist reaffirms the community's desire for beard options for their characters. Beards have been a highly requested cosmetic item for many players, albeit with a few big ones ARC Raiders update, this option has not appeared yet. Embark hasn't even specified if this will ever happen, though some members of the community seem to have found an interesting way to not only add beard options to the game, but to narratively connect them to the game's universe in a way that also makes a lot of sense.
Inside Grip_the_artist's post, they mention adding a beard as a cosmetic option that only opens up to experienced players, meaning those who have spent at least 150 hours on top. While 150 hours might be a bit much, the idea behind it is interesting, as having a beard is basically a way for players to show they've been invested in the game for a long time, or “a true veteran Raider” as Grip_the_artist suggests. The post is accompanied by what many believe to be an AI image of a raider with a long Viking-style beard, giving them a more rugged appearance.
In addition to the “Rock and Stone” comments about the character's dwarf beard, Deep Rock GalacticIn a popular phrase, most agreed that adding a beard should be a priority for Embark, although there were many who didn't like the “gatekeeping” aspect of the idea. Some have offered their own versions of the idea, with many individuals tying beard growth to the number of raids survived. Dying during a raid, whether by an ARC enemy or another player, completely resets growth. Regardless, the main takeaway is that players want a lot more beard options from Embark.
While there's no timeline for Beard, there's likely to be plenty of opportunity as Embark recently revealed its post-launch plans ARC Raiders until April 2026. The plan confirmed that each month will feature a major update full of new content for players to enjoy. While Headwinds was launched recently, the February Shrouded Sky update will open another expedition window while adding a new map condition, enemy ARC, player project, and Raider Deck. Scrappy gets some love in March and April, ARC Raiders will have a brand new map and a large ARC enemy infiltrating the game. In addition to these major updates, Embark also intends to continue releasing cosmetics, quality of life updates, and more.
