While it's officially in production, not much is known about the upcoming title for Ubisoft Divisionthough executive producer Julian Gerighty gave fans a bit of an encouraging update regarding its development. After launching in 2019 Division 2 has seen a recent resurgence thanks to an increase in new content. Looking to capitalize on this momentum, it looks like Ubisoft has a lot more in store for players this year and beyond, including a highly anticipated new game.
2026 is a big year Tom Clancy's The Division a franchise that celebrates its 10th anniversary on March 8. In addition to seasonal updates, the new Battle for Brooklyn DLC and a surprise 60 FPS update for PlayStation 5 users for the original version DivisionUbisoft is preparing fans for the next one to come in 2026. Unfortunately, not much is known yet about how Ubisoft plans to celebrate the 10-year milestone, but the franchise's roadmap also plans for new content and the return of the fan-favorite survival mode now releasing Survivors. Tom Clancy's The Division 3 will become a “monster”
In a developer interview with Gaming Interviews, executive producer Julian Gerighty talked about the franchise as a whole, while dropping a few snippets of new information about what's currently in production. division 3. Although it's no secret that Massive Entertainment is working Tom Clancy's The Division 3Gerighty admitted that he can't talk too much about it, but that it's already “becoming a monster.” He then went one step further, confirming that the team at Massive is working extremely hard and that from what he's seen so far, he believes the game will have “the same impact as Division 1.”
at this time Division 3 it doesn't have a release date or confirmed platforms, which probably indicates that the game is still a long way off. While the details may not have been quite what fans were hoping for, the positive update should keep fans speculating for months and (potentially) years to come. Either way, it sounds like Division 3 will be the biggest game in the franchise yet and will hopefully build on the success of its predecessors.
Gerighty also gave a little more news about the upcoming Survivors experience Division 2which is an evolution of the popular Survival extraction mode that was launched as a paid DLC for the original game. As expected, Survivors takes place during a snowstorm in Washington, DC, and once again players will have to balance looting with survival in harsh and cold conditions. Gerighty confirmed that the entire map will be changed by the weather, along with other new innovations. The mode also seems to be in very safe hands as Ubisoft has confirmed that Magnus Jansén, the original creative director Divisionagain working on this experience.
There were many questions before the recent revival Division 2with many believing that the endgame is near. This future was then further questioned Heartland Division was canceled in 2024, canceling 3 years of work and making it seem like Ubisoft was moving on from the franchise. However, a dedicated team of 5 people at Massive was able to jump-start development, which began with new seasonal content and events with crossover clothing, which helped rapidly accelerate player numbers. With renewed interest, Ubisoft continued to build Division 2which eventually led to the Battle for Brooklyn DLC and continued into the upcoming Survivors experience, while also investing in a brand new game.
