To unseal the Cloister of Ruination, you must complete four steps:

After defeating one of Antumbra's bosses, you gain knowledge of an enemy called Ator, Archon of Antumbra. He is the sealed boss in the Monastery of Doom.

Each of Antumbra's bosses is located inside a shrine that belongs to a certain witch. You don't need to clear the shrines to continue the Cloister of Ruination quest, as you just need to defeat the boss.

Keep in mind that these areas are full of enemies and some will engage in a boss fight. Shrines are scattered around Pywel and some of them can be difficult to reach, so be prepared.

Antumbra bosses are mostly manageable if you're prepared for the deadly attacks that can take you down. Some have a gimmick that makes them easier to fight, such as Antumbra's Staff's deadly attack, which can be avoided by using Force Palm to stop it.

The Cloister of Ruination is located in the westernmost part of Pailune, near Silver Wolf Mountain. You can find it after entering Wayward Woods.

Fortunately, after visiting it the first time, you can climb to the highest point next to the monastery to find the Abyss Cresset.
