You may have already seen Wolf Maiden's location on your map; she is on the southeastern tip of the Kaifeng regionjust beyond the onslaught of the Granary of Plenty area. Her boss arena is marked with a red mask icon and is just at the eastern end of Desperation Ridge. There is a boundary stone near her location, so mark it first. You will need it.
The thing about Wolf Maiden is this it only appears at night. If you go to her arena at any other time, it will be empty. As with all the bosses inside Where the winds meetyou will need to spend some time familiarizing yourself with the Wolf Maiden's moves before defeating her. Her attacks are pretty predictable, though she does have some quick moves that are hard to counter.
The first thing we recommend is to use an AI companion during combat. Use whoever is available to you, but if you want to make the Wolf Maiden fight easier, you'll want to keep your buddy alive as long as possible. Help Stormbreaker Spear to taunt the boss it's a good tactic.
As a general rule for boss fights like this, you'll only want to save your big attacks and long combos for when your target is exhausted/stance broken. Focus on squeezing light or heavy attacks between Wolf Maiden's combos and focus on deflecting/reflecting her moves until she runs out of Qi. When it is depleted, jump with your attacks before finishing your move by pressing the button on the screen. Rinse and repeat until it's down.
Your biggest opportunity to deal tons of Qi damage against the Wolf Maiden is during her long 9 hit combo. She's fairly easy to parry once you get the timing right, and if you don't mind the delayed attack at the end of the combo, you'll be able to drain a lot of her stamina without taking damage.
