How to Find Rats in the Quarantine Zone: Final Check (Gray Tide)
The Gray Tide quest will be available some time after you unlock Reflex Hammer on day 3 in Quarantine Zone: Final Check. The quest objective will be displayed on the bulletin board in the Checkpoint area and will instruct players to help reduce the rat infestation around the base.

If you approach the rats, they will quickly run away before you can smash them with a hammer. You'll need to crouch to sneak up on the rats before they have a chance to escape. Players can crouch Quarantine Zone: Final Check with Left CTRL key on the keyboard. Similarly, you can press the button B button on the Xbox controller or The O button on the PlayStation controller to crouch.
If you have trouble crouching Quarantine Zone: Final Checkyou'll need to press the shift key on your keyboard or the left stick button on your controllers turn off Sprint. Once the sprint is off, only then will you be able to crouch.
