Frostpunk 2 has been hailed as one of the best approaches to city-building survival games. The sequel boldly expands its post-apocalyptic setting by introducing aspects of political strategy to players. One way to do this is through the Faction political party. Each faction adheres to three unchanging beliefs known as the Cornerstones. Frostpunk 2's story features four factions, while Utopia Builder has eight.
The game benefits from strategy, challenging decisions, debates and consequences. 12 Capricorn: Legionnaires
December 22 – January 19
The characteristics of a Capricorn with big dreams and ambitions, but also cynical and perfectionistic, are well portrayed in Legionnaires. Like Legionnaires, they are guided by a sense of tradition, you have strong traditions and preferences, you want to stick to what you know, and you don't like to compromise.
Capricorns probably appreciate how Legionnaires can give players a strong start towards sweet independence and self-sufficiency. With their Prefab boost, which you can make the most of by gathering and expanding into multiple city districts during your early game, Factions will likely appeal to the relentless, consistent work ethic and methods of Capricorn.
11 Aquarius: Venturers
January 20 – February 18
You are analytical and assertive, you are Venturer material and you have the potential to be a key contributor to a thriving society and economy. Enviably independent, efficient at work, outgoing and confident, Venturers exemplify some of Aquarian's strongest qualities. This probably includes being great with money and having great style. Like your fellow Faction members, you probably often know more about people than you let on.
As an Aquarius, you want to get the most out of everything. Providing ample financial cushion to the city's economy and remarkably efficient production, enterprising Venturers are calculating and highly opportunistic in nature, and you're likely drawn to this faction's approach to the world.
10 Pisces: Bohemians
February 19 – March 20
Pisces are good-natured and sentimental. You strive to have pure intentions in everything you do, much like members of the Bohemian Faction. Natural dreamers, Pisces can connect with the peaceful Czech mindset and their creative passion, as well as their aversion to cold-bloodedness and strict labor laws. Bohemians place great emphasis on close community, learning and openness, and like idealistic Pisces, they have a unique way of seeing the world.
You're an art lover and probably an accomplished artist with a rebellious streak, so you're a perfect fit for this artistically expressive faction. Being able to embrace this identity wherever you are is vital to you and to the members of this faction who want oppressive traditions to be removed and equality to prevail.
9 Aries: Ice blood
March 21 – April 19
Courageous, determined, and hungry for a challenge, Aries has what it takes to survive and thrive in the cold, making him a fitting member of the iceblood faction. Quick to act and never backing down from a fight, with strong emotions and leadership skills, Icebloods embody the unparalleled bravery of Aries. Icebloods are tough as nails and resourceful at the same time, using their surroundings to their advantage. Ruthless ice is no match for your fire. In true Iceblood style, there's also a good chance you'd wrestle a polar bear for fun.
Icebloods are a faction, anyone who wants to survive wants to be on their side, just like every sign with their right mind wants to have an Aries around when things go south. Natural hunters and survivalists keep society safer from the dangers of starvation, just as Aries will protect its friends from harm. Power is paramount to Icebloods in maintaining society, and they reward a job well done. A hardy Aries could probably feel right at home with this Faction.
8 Taurus: Daredevils
April 20 – May 20
Always a constant Taurus. These down-to-earth but headstrong individuals could do well with the Frostpunk 2 Faction of Stalwarts story. You prefer order and are known to really like to deal with things. Practicality and reliability are essential to you, as are planning and preparation, Stalwart values. Honesty is the way to your heart.
Tauruses are bluntly honest and admire when others back up their words with actions, although, like Braves, they don't mind radical changes and prefer to approach things cautiously. People may often accuse you of being stubborn and wary, but underneath you are deeply committed to the things you care about.
7 Gemini: Technocrats
May 21 – June 21
Resourceful, bright, curious, talented, sometimes called omniscient, Technocrats are probably the perfect faction for an adventurous Gemini. Clever and good with numbers, happy technocrats want to innovate the city, make the most of available resources, and devote themselves intensively to education and research. Typically gifted and capable researchers and multitaskers who trust the facts and are full of ideas, progressive Gemini can be especially excited about this tech-savvy faction.
That said, don't get carried away by your technocrat hunger for information, Gemini. Don't take on more research projects than your funding can handle. To become full-fledged visions, you need to be able to follow through on promising ones with support and funding.
6 Cancer: Guardians of the Faith
June 22 – July 22
True romantics known for their sensitivity, Cancer would fit best in the Faithkeepers Fraction for a number of reasons. Another Faction story, this group is based on faith and belief. As a Cancer, trust, close relationships and loyalty are vital to you. These things define the Guardians of the Faith as a group and as people who wish to preserve peace and justice in a harsh world.
Guardians of the Faith have a special ability to build trust through prayer, reflecting Cancer's deep devotion to the things and people they believe in. Cancer can also connect with the faction's ultimate desire to ensure that just decisions are made for the city, as sentimental and empathetic beings who make every effort to do the right thing.
5 Leo: Menders
July 23 – August 22
Leos are considered particularly outgoing. They are social butterflies with a special spark of charisma, confidence in their abilities and value friendship. These characteristics are strongly reflected in the Menders faction. Menders can support population growth during the earlier and more difficult years of the game by using rescue operations, taking advantage of Leo's extroversion, and having a high regard for friendship.
For competitive Lion players, Menders can be a welcome asset. Menders can conduct missions to explore the land and uncover resources. This provides the opportunity to establish bases and settlements for the advancing colonization of the Frostlands and opens up supply sources earlier in the game's timeline.
4 Virgo: Evolvers
August 23 – September 22
Industrious, diligent and meticulous, Virgo fits well into the Evolvers story faction. If you're a Virgo, you're balanced and driven by reason, like the members of your faction. While you want your work to be efficient and have an insatiable need for productivity, you ultimately want your plans to be as accurate and efficient as possible. You Evolvers are especially adaptable and try to embrace your new world. Embrace the frost.
Even though you know you are critical, you command respect and set the standard for organization and time-management. Like this faction, Virgos can have a powerful influence on those around them, being incredibly productive and a valuable asset to the prosperity of their community.
3 Scales: Proteins
September 23 – October 23
Libra was able to create great Protheans. They usually practice tact and like to help others, but constantly strive for balance and stability. These qualities would make Libras excellent, dedicated and observant healers and scientists. Peaceful but rational Libras, like Proteans, are likely to understand that a great city rests on the backs of great workers.
Having proteins is a win, especially in highly productive and adaptable societies. This faction neutralizes the toll hard work and population growth takes on workers and people's health, providing health care and studying disease and medicine. Libras always desire the best possible outcome, just as visionary Proteans desire a high-functioning city. Both would sacrifice themselves to get there.
2 Scorpio: Overseers
October 24 – November 21
You were born to rule with an iron fist. As a person and leader, you are strategic and driven like no other. You know what you want and you get it. Overseers are a cold, hard faction with the richest production capabilities it has to offer. Their passion is power and they intend to extract every drop of it from the city. You will not survive the frost, the frost will have to survive you, Scorpio.
Scorpio's intense, passionate and cunning personality makes them great for the Overseer Faction. Enigmatic, with a resistant mind and a tendency to solitude, these individuals do not like to rely on the help of others. With their minds, Scorpios can achieve the unimaginable, just as Wardens are able to create an unrivaled, supercharged economy of unparalleled production.
1 Sagittarius: Pilgrims
November 22 – December 21
Zodiac adventurer. It's only fitting that this optimistic and contemplative yet energetic and adaptable sign finds itself in the story of the Pilgrim Fraction. Chances are, not only do you enjoy traveling, but you're also pretty good at it. You are the kind of person everyone would want to take with them on a trip.
The Pilgrim faction is resourceful, able to speed up expedition times and encourage rapid expansion through bases. Additionally, you share the range of ambitions of your faction. Although you may seem restless, you are very capable of pursuing your goals and succeeding in them.
