Whenever new Tomb Raider When the game is revealed, her version of Lara Croft is guaranteed to be heavily scrutinized, with her character design and voice being two areas of focus for longtime fans. Fortunately, her new look in the two upcoming games – esp Legacy of Atlantis — seems to be a hit and it's easy to imagine new ones Tomb Raider actor Alix Wilton Regan was also well received.
To be fair, she's going to have to clear a high bar as Lara has had many video game voices in the past. These include the original voice of Shelley Blond, Judith Gibbons from the first two sequels, and Jonell Elliot from the second trio of games. Then there's Keeley Hawes, seen by many as the quintessential voice of Lara Croft as she nailed the adventurer's signature sass. Legend, Anniversaryand Underworld. The newest video game voice actor for Lara is Camila Luddington, who portrayed the young version of Lara from the Survivor trilogy and officially passed the torch to Alix Wilton Regan via a heartfelt Instagram post.
For those unfamiliar with Alix Wilton Regan, one of her last video game roles saw her play Alt Cunningham Cyberpunk 2077. There's a lot to stand out in CD Projekt Red's futuristic RPG, with big-name actors like Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves regularly taking center stage. Still, Wilton Regan manages to imbue Alt Cunningham with life and make her a real showstopper, making every second of the screen count. While Lara Croft isn't as powerful as Alt and is a very different character in general, a look at Alix Wilton Regan's career reveals that she has plenty of range.

Based on this handful of roles, it's clear that Wilton Regan is a phenomenal choice for a mature Lara Croft who's been through dozens of adventures. Mass EffectSamantha Traynor was a niche but welcome romance option, with the character showing that whenever Lara Croft z Legacy of Atlantis and Catalyst needs to let his guard down, Wilton Regan will have the softness to handle these scenes. Her Dragon Age The role reflects her ability to handle a character that leads instead of follows, her time as Aya's assassin practically guarantees that the “new” Lara will pick up the cool factor and Lies PLea shines so bright inside Prelude a partial donation can be made to the woman who spoke it.
All of these experiences will hopefully culminate in a version of Lara Croft that builds on what came before and honors the legacy of every actor from Hawes to Luddington. Since Lara in Legacy of Atlantis — reworking of the original Tomb Raider – will last the entirety of the Survivor Trilogy, it will have to feel a little similar to this iteration. After that, Catalyst The Lara version will need to have all of these experiences plus the experience of Legend Trilogy because the 2027 game finally picks up the threads of this story and picks up where those games left off. Wilton Regan basically has to play two levels of “unified” Lara Catalyst takes things further than ever before by essentially presenting the ultimate Lara Croft. But it seems Wilton Regan is definitely excited to take on the challenge, as she released a statement calling it the “absolute highlight” of her career.
WITH Legacy of Atlantis coming sometime in 2026, it probably won't be long before more clips are shared and fans hear more dialogue from Lara Alix Wilton Regan. For now, though, they'll just have to watch the Game Awards trailers for the two upcoming ones Tomb Raider games.
