World of Warcraft fans can get a new mount called the Festival Hot Air Balloon during the Pandaren Heritage questline in Patch 11.2.7, which can carry up to four players at once. Although this vehicle is technically classified as a toy, it provides a whole new way World of Warcraft fans to travel in style.
Patch 11.2.7 is coming World of Warcraft December 2nd Brings Early Access to Player Housing, Return of Brawler's Guild, and Epilogue Chapter Bridging The war within and Midnight. It also finally adds the Heritage Armor questline for Pandaren, which will see fans return to the Wandering Isle to save the Spirit Festival alongside iconic characters like Chen and Li Li Stormstout.

However, this quest line adds more than just a new story and a set of armor. The Festival Hot Air Balloon is a toy you get by completing the Pandaren Heritage story that creates a drivable vehicle. While piloting, their active panels are replaced by vehicle interface controls to slowly move up, down, forward or stop. In addition, the festival hot air balloon can carry up to three other characters, so almost the whole group goes on a scenic flight through the air together. WoW player Zee captured footage of this toy vehicle from the PTR and shared it with his fans on Twitter.
If this toy wasn't exciting enough on its own, its lack of limitations really made it shine. While restrictions could be introduced before the official release, it currently has no cooldown or duration, meaning it can be used as often or as long as you like. What's more, although it requires a Pandaren to unlock, it can be used by characters of any race, including the upcoming Haranir. WoW: Midnight.
Now that this toy car exists, World of Warcraft could technically create similar mounts in the future. While it pales in comparison to WoWIn terms of handling and speed, the Skyriding system is still an exciting addition for players looking to embark on a scenic journey, especially since it can accommodate multiple characters. Fans are already eager to get their hands on this item and would love to see more balloons and vehicles that use this mechanic added to the game in the future.
Players can now begin the process of claiming this reward. Once Patch 11.2.7 is released, fans will need to have a Pandaren character level 50 or higher to pick up the quest. Raising a character to this level v World of Warcraft now that means players will be able to dive right into the Heritage Armor quest line on patch day and take their own hot air balloon ride.
