Base gold price for saving the appearance of clothing using the new Transmog system introduced in 2009 World of Warcraft: Midnight The pre-expansion update has been cut in half. These gold saving changes are officially live World of Warcraft since the recent hotfix.
The Transmog system was completely redesigned in World of Warcraft: Midnight Update before expansion on January 20th. Instead of paying to change the appearance of gear individually as before, this new system allows players to pre-set outfits that automatically update the appearance of all items as they are equipped. While this would theoretically save money in the long run, it has a steep entry cost as clothing slots must be purchased with gold and Transmog prices have been increased.
The worst World of Warcraft spec of all time may actually be my favorite in the midnight expansion
World of Warcraft is making a lot of changes with its Midnight expansion, and one of the worst classes in the history of the game is better than you think.
World of Warcraft clothing transmog cost reduced by 50%
Now, World of Warcraft has implemented a change to help fans adapt to this new Transmog system while saving money. A new hotfix was released recently that reduced the average cost of storing items in clothing by about 50%. For example, clothing that used to cost 2,776 gold before this hotfix will now only save 1,388.
This hotfix brings the current cost of Transmogging back to roughly where it was before these changes were implemented, albeit in a way that doesn't need to reset every time a new item is acquired. However, the cost is now the same at all levels, meaning characters below max level WoW he will have to spend hundreds of gold more than before to save the clothes. Additionally, no refunds will be issued to players who saved their outfits prior to these changes.
The Ethereal Connection racial ability for Void Elves reduces outfit setup costs by an additional 50%.
It should be noted that the cost of purchasing new slots was not affected by this hotfix. he said that World of Warcraft has already drastically reduced the cost of purchasing them between beta and full release, as well as allowing them to be unlocked for the entire account.
Despite these improvements World of Warcraft Fans may want to wait to fix all of their Transmogs. WoW recently revealed that each character will receive a free Transmog discount to customize a single outfit for free. This attention will be automatically delivered to characters before the 12.0.1 update, meaning they will likely see it within the next few weeks at the latest.
How does Trial of Style work in World of Warcraft now?
The Trial of Style is a semi-annual event that takes place around March and August every year and includes a fashion competition mini-game and exclusive World of Warcraft cosmetics as a reward. Previously, all Transmogging was free during these periods, leading players to also call the event “Mog Week”.
Unfortunately, this will no longer apply to the new Transmog system World of Warcraft. In the same forum post where this change was announced, WoW community manager Linxy also cleared the air about how Trial of Style will work from now on. Instead of waiving all Transmog fees, each character will receive a special Trial of Style slot that can be upgraded for free during the weekly event for use in competition. Sadly, the slot will be removed at the end of the event, meaning it won't help alleviate the cost of Transmogging in a permanent sense.
The next Trial of Style takes place on March 20th, so fans will be able to see this system in action soon. World of Warcraft: Midnight comes out on March 2nd, so players will have about two weeks to collect all sorts of new Transmogs to use during the fashion contest.
