WWE 2K25 on Nintendo Switch 2 looks like PS4 but still rule

Where were you the first time you played WWE 2K18 on the Nintendo switch? I was in Brooklyn, settled for a week of coverage of Wrestlemania 34. I brought a switch with me on the road and against my better judgment I decided it was time to try a very bad port WWE 2K18 for the Nintendo console. What a mistake.

If you have experienced this debacle, you remember that the game was somewhat worse than the eventual edition of the WWE 2K20, so bad that 2K took a year off the series. Yes, 2K18 on the switch was worse. At least with 2K20 I could play a match or two before it crashed, but WWE 2K18, on the other hand, was almost impressive with how much it did not work.

The game was at best jerky, the frame frequencies were permanently low and the game was full of mistakes and defects. At that time it was really surprising that a game like this could hit the market as broken as it was. Then came the WWE 2K20 and dominated the interview with the wrong match for the coming years.

It was very worried that I decided to give WWE 2K25 on the Switch 2 shot. Certainly it couldn't be as bad as port 2K18, right?

Thank you manufacturers, this game is not a repetition of the previous drama of the switch ports. It works, has most options available in the PS5 and Xbox X/S series and is a good choice for WWE on the go. It's not perfect – what we get to later – but it's almost as good as I could expect the PS5 port.

Given my experience with 2K18, I wanted to make sure that 2K25 really pushed the switching limits 2. From behind the scenes and elimination chamber matches to hardcore seizures representing tons of weapons and new jack music blinking throughout the arena I just couldn't break. There was never a threat to me once, even though I could try it a little bit too Hard to do it.

After all, I am a very specific type of WWE player. Every year I get my hands on the game for each available platform and all play them similarly. I create the universe and create a wrestlers based on me, friends and characters I created from Wrestlemania 2000 on N64.

Especially two characters, Erik Roberts and Arden Richards, I have been doing every year since 1999.

I also play a fair amount of regime of the CEO, but there is no way to break the administration simulator. I don't play an island or myfaction and barely touch. The only other regime I play is Myrise, the first thing I do every year. Finally, I am a stupid for telling in these games – whether I do it in my mind with the regimes of the universe and the general manager, or I play through the preset story created by 2K in Myris.

Still, I fired everything: matches with too many people, traveled on the island to decide if I still like it (I don't), I even lasted some card packages in MyFaction. After all, they come with DLC games, so I didn't have to spend more money on them.

Everything I tried worked as well as I could hope. There were no mistakes or defects, all DLC worked flawlessly, and it took mere seconds from load to my first wrestler for walking to the ring for my inauguration switch 2 match-nine jack vs. Cody Rhodes VA is of course.

Hi wwe, I'm obviously a reservation genius. Call me.

It just works. What is better than that?

No matter what I did, my switch 2 was held. It did not seem to be faced or passed on to introduce the game correctly. I haven't even experienced running frames. And that's something I thought it couldn't be avoided. With a huge amount of pyro, lasers, lighting, music and videos used only at the entrances, I was ready for a much worse time to play the game. It is exciting to be illustrated.

And now starting 2k25 on Switch 2 means I didn't look at playing in my house. It can go on the road with me, which is useful because I'm a lot on the road. This time next week I will be in the aircraft running regions and perfectly book the home show Go Home to Wrestlemania in my general manager, I will definitely overthrow my competitors driven AI.

And yes, I could do something like this with a steam package or other hand -held PC computer. However, this Switch 2 experience opens me on other things I can play on the road. I can take a break from WWE 2K25 to play Donkey Kong Bananza. Good luck to do it on your beloved steam package.

So far, I have resisted immense temptation to buy a steam package. But I really want one.

But it's not all good news.

Switch 2 is a pretty solid console. Sure, his choice of the game is a little thin at the moment, but it is also brand new. However, one place is difficult to imagine that it matches PS5 or Xbox Series X | S is in terms of graphics.

Although Nintendo's internal titles look great. They are still made in the style of Nintendo-most animated than photorealistic. Games look impressive, but different than PS5. However, in terms of ported titles, something is often lost in translation. Sometimes it is much more noticeable – like a new trailer for Star Wars Outlaws on Switch 2 – while others not so much.

WWE 2K25 falls somewhere in the middle. Visually, this game is downgrade from the next and PC versions. The resolution is not so sharp, sometimes the characters of the characters look a little rough and long hair look more fake than in the counterparts.

There are a lot of good wrestling video games. However, their long hair display has always been garbage.

Yet, if you are like me and you played WWE video games for too long, you are not here for graphic loyalty. You are here to start your own WWE version and use it to become a world champion who regularly breaks light tubes over the heads of his opponents. Having a graphics that looks closer to the early game PS4 in my handkerchief is not a dealbreaker trader.

On the other hand, the screen on switch 2 can be. It's an excellent screen – not as good as OLED, but I turn – but still not too big. When you play one-on-one game in manual mode, it's easy to watch. However, when you get to the point of the elimination chamber, it is a little more difficult to watch.

As it happened so much on the screen and everything that was so small, I found it harder to play matches with more people, because the camera was constantly pulling out to get as many active competitors as possible on the screen. So if you want to play the Royal Rumble match, you should probably just anchor it.

The WWE 2K25 was remarkable in the fact that after a few years it divided the PC players from the console of the current generation. Due to the inclusion of the island, the PC version was launched with Xbox One and PS4, lacked this mode and was unable to access any community creations created on these platforms.

Now, with switch 2, things are much more fragmented. Switch 2 exists in its own community creations ecosystem, which is largely empty. To make matters worse, there is no picture recorder for Switch 2, which means your own logos, pictures, tattoos, yourself and more is simply impossible to include in the game. You cannot make your wrestler wear a shirt with a club shirt and do not expect excellent AEW Dynamite Arena recreation.

Picture recording was part of WWE 2K for more than ten years, so their removal for this port feels that it must be bound to the lack of the console itself. Maybe the development on the switch 2 is more difficult than expected, and something had to go. Obviously, something that makes more profit (MyFaction, Island) cannot be sacrificed. The regime that allows you to record images protected by copyrights so that your wrestler can have the right Metallica-or X-ranking T-shirt, which would have to be alleviated-it is probably easy to cut enough. I just wish it wasn't.

However, they all said that these disadvantages were not enough to easily pass on this port of the WWE 2K25 title. Deficiencies or not, I have an incredible amount of fun playing through the matches in my palm. I was looking for an excuse not to buy each version of the 2K WWE series every year, but instead I have another list.
