The cover features contrasting lineups of WWE and WCW's biggest stars from the Monday Night War era, though special benefits for purchasing the Monday Night War Edition have not been revealed. WWE 2K26 has yet to officially confirm a firm release date, though 2K has confirmed that pre-orders for the game will open on January 30th with an expected March release window.

Although 2K still retains a lot of detail WWE 2K26 close to its chest, the Monday Night War Edition could be more revealing about its content. Combined with the previously revealed Attitude Era Edition, WWE 2K26 may focus more on the late 1990s and early 2000s and potentially bring back notable events from that period.
